Atlanta Medical Center (COE) Hospital
The nurses were really nice and helpful, I guess that they had alot of patients the night I was there because they could be a little forgetful at time...I had to ask for my ice a couple of times...which I kinda thought should have been there right on time!!!! But otherwise they were nice and as helpful as any other!
I felt the nursing staff put the responsibility on me of when I was given medications. My chief complaints were nausea and gas. I couldn't keep up with when I could have more medicine. I told my nurse that the nausea and gas were bad and whatever I could have and whenever I could have it, I wanted it. But still, I never got anything unless a complaint coincided with the time I could have more medication. Also, the lab mixed up my blood with another patient and I wound up having to stay an extra night. The lab values that they messed up I had been waiting on for over 3 hours. I was not happy.
The nursing staff, both day and night were wonderful and caring. Very professional, yet but with compassion and supportive hearts. I was not only visited by my surgeon, but by other department physicians i.e. chief of surgery for Atlanta Medical and serveral others. Let me not forget the paraprofessional, they were great!
