Atlanta Medical Center (COE) Hospital
Although the staff was nice, I felt they did the bare minimum--after you asked! I received ice chips twice. I always had to ask for pain meds--sometimes several times. It took 30 min to get back from the leak check. I received nothing to drink after the check, even though I asked. After waiting about 2.5 hours to be checked out, I got dressed, went to the desk and said I was leaving. I probably could have gotten better service at McDonald's.
The hospital was very well equiped for WLS patients. The did not have enough bariatric beds but it turned out I was fine without it. The staff was very friendly but spread VERY thin. If I requested something I would have to remind one or two times to get the item within an hour or sometimes, two. Without my husband staying the night I would not have been cared for well at all. He did most of my care. The nurses even commented that having him there would make my stay much easier.
