WHEN I FIRST MED DR DUNCAN I KNEW IHAD MET A GOD SENT MAN HE IS SO CARING AND VERY CONCERNED ABOUT ALL OF HIS PATIENTS.EACH VISIT WITH DR DUCAN I FELT CLOSER TO HIM AS IF HE WAS MY UNCLE.HIS STAFF IS EXCELLENT ESPECIALLY KAREN.I DON'T HAVE ANY DISLIKES ABOUT DR. DUNCAN.HE IS THE BEST SURGEON IN ATLANTA BECAUSE HE IS A DR THAT UNDERSTANDS YOU AND LISTENS TO YOU AND ANSWERS ALL YOUR CONCERNS.HE PUT A LOT OF EMPHASIS TO YOUR AFTERCARE JUST AS MUCH AS HE DO YOUR PREOP CARE.HE HAS A VERY STRUCTUERD AFTERCARE .HE ADDRESSED THE RISKS OF THE SURGERY EVERY VISIT , EVERY CLASS BEFORE AND AFTER THE SURGERY ALSO.I RATE DR. DUNCAN AT 150% .BOTH ARE JUST EXCELLENT.

I have yet to meet Dr. Duncan face to face. I have seen him at the seminar and he was very excited about sharing his passion for the great things that can be accomplished using the tool of Bariatric Surgery. The office person I have dealt with has been Jennifer S. She has been a great help and very encouraging. All the information, pros and cons, techniques and support care are all there for his patients and all of it is required to quailfy for surgery. I am ready to begin my journey of my new life after surgery with Dr. Duncan.

I was impressed by the staff and the fact they tell you all the risk so far I'm still pleased I had to stop smoking and Ihave not smoked since I was given a date

While I have not met Dr. Duncan personally yet, I am very impressed with his staff from the receptionist to the other physicians. In other words -- so far so good! :)

Dr. Duncan and is staff were very friendly and very sincere on giving you a new life. They were all very friendly and very supportive. I wouldn't have any problem recommending Dr. Duncan to anyone. The only thing that could have been better would be the follow-up visits. They do everything in group meetings and some people don't like discussing problems in a group format. All the care I received from Dr. Duncan and is Associates was very to notch. They explained things before and after the surgery to their fullest ability.

I'd rate Dr. Duncan and is Staff as being very top notch group of professionals

He was great, very knowledgeable.

the only thing i didnt like about him, was the personal attention. After the initial seminar, i never saw him again

I had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Ducan at his mass seminar. I really enjoyed his sense of humor. However, all of those people in the gym were a bit overwhelming. My impression has not change over time, I just wish we saw him more rather than his staff. Don't get me wrong his staff seems fantastic but I like interacting with the HDIC. His staff is wonderful. I can't say what I liked least because the only time I have seen him was at the seminar. He seems to be a great doctor. I have met many on his patients and everyone raves about him. From what I have experienced so far I would recommend him in a heart beat. Dr. Ducan suggests that you work with a nutricianist that is familar with Bariatric Surgery. There is a wonderful program at the Wellness Center were he conducts the seminar. Through that class I have learned what to expect and not expect before and after surgery. The cost is 100.00. Now, I am in a Life Steps Class at the Wellness Center in order to lose weight before surgery. The class is mentally preparing me for what is in stored. It helps you determine if this is something you really want to do because Dr. Duncan stresses the surgery is only a tool not a quick fix. You are going to have to change your eating habits. During the seminar Dr. Duncan stated the mortality rate is higher with surgeons with less experience performing operations. He strongly suggests find a surgeon with more then 100 surgeries performed. In fact he stated that he works with his surgeons closely for the first 100 patients. The bottom line is find a surgeon with plenty of experience. Dr. Ducan has both surgical competence and bedside manor. I feel both are necessary to work with me.

I have to say I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Duncan. He's honest and he's good. I'm very please with the care that I have received. Even though I haven't talked with him since the surgery, Dr. McGown is a good subtitute... :)

The things I liked most about Dr. D. was his sincerity about the risk. Even to the point of trying to get you to change your mind. He didn't hold anything back or leave anything out.

I would recommend Dr. Duncan to anyone thinking about having this procedure.

I meet Dr. Duncan at the Seminar on April 20. He is an very knowledgeable about the surgery and knows his stuff. His staff was at the seminar and they also was very helpful in answering questions about the surgery. I would definitely recommend patients to him because he seems like he cares about the person who he is going to do the surgery on. He appears to care about the health of the person and the aftercare of the surgery. He told the class about the benefits and the risks of the surgery which was very important to me. We saw a film about the surgery which was interesting. I would trust him for the pre-op and post-op.

I am not sure that I should even list Dr. Duncan as my doctor. I went to the group consultation and it was great. I kept thinking, there are a lot of people in this room, will he have time for me. But I am sure not all those people are willing to put in what he requires. The program appears to be comprehensive and he seems to care about obese people. Aftercare as well as Pre-Op care seems to be a big part of what he does.
