Dr. Rossi is wonderful. I am so pleased to have such a competent and compassionate surgeon as he is perform my surgery. Melinda, who runs the program, is fabulous. I am so thankful I was put in touch with the Peoria Surgical Group for my WLS.

The first time I met Dr. Rossi I knew he was a compitent Dr. And I still believe he is very good at this surgery. My first check up after surgery my scar had started to go keyiloid{sp} He seemed very upset by that almost like he felt he made a mistake. I don't think there is anything he could have done different. Most of the office staff is helpful and friendly. But beware the one who greets you as you come in. Not real friendly and on the border of being down right rude. Melinda of course is awesome. she works very hard for all of us wls patients.

Dr Rossi did some surgery on my grandpa a couple of years ago. I thought he was very professional then and now. I also knew his Dad, Dr Rossi Sr. He also was a good man. I haven't gotten to meet many of his staff yet. Erin is our insurance guru, helping get them to listen. She is great so far. I am to have my consultation next week with the dietician, psychologist, Dr Rossi, and nurses. I will have more to say then.

He is very nice, very knowledgeable, and very professional. I have all confidence in him that he will do his absolute best. He answered all of my questions completely, and he waited until I was sure I didn't have any more questions to end the appointment. He did not pressure me to be in a hurry, nor did he belittle me in any way. I like him, I trust him, and I would recommend him to anyone.

I finally met Dr. Rossi I am all excited. He is very nice and he really knows his stuff. I was very impressed with him and his staff.

DR. THOMAS ROSSI WAS GREAT AT MY FIRST INITIAL VISIT WITH HIM. I WOULD RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE HE WAS VERY CARING, KIND, AND EXPLAINED EVERYTHING.

I was really impressed with Dr. Rossi. He was very friendly and supportive. I had originally seen Dr. Gupta, who was also very pleasent and helpful, however I wanted the Lap Band and Dr. Rossi was able to get me in sooner. I feel very confident in both these surgeons and have had a good experience with the Peoria Surgical Group so far. The only negative I can say is that it did take a long time to get an appointment (over three weeks) and I had to wait over an hour for my appointment. But Dr. Rossi and his staff was very appologetic about the wait.

I FIRST MET DR. ROSSI THE BEGINNING OF DECEMBER AND HE WAS SO VERY NICE AND POLITE. HE DID NOT RUSH ME AND HE ANSWERED ALL MY QUESTIONS. I FEEL VERY, VERY CONFIDENT HAVING HIM AS MY SURGEON. THE OFFICE STAFF WERE FERY NICE AND MELINDA HAS HELPED OUT A GREAT DEAL WITH THE SUPPORT GROUP AND ANSWERING MY QUESTIONS. MARY WAS A
ALSO VERY NICE AND SCHEDULED MY PSYCH EVAL.

DR. ROSSI IS INCREDIBLE. HE IS SO CARING AND DURING MY SECOND STAY, HE CAME IN EVERY NIGHT, EVEN THOUGH HIS INTERNS AND SUCH WERE TAKING CARE OF ME, TO SEE HOW I WAS AND TO KEEP ENCOURAGING ME. HE MADE ME FEEL SECURE. HE HAS ALWAYS TREATED ME WITH KINDNESS AND RESPECT AND I THINK HE IS GREAT. :)

My first impression after I researched Dr. Rossi (before I met him) was that this man had to be passionate. That is a good word to describe him. Look it up. He has eight kids for God's sake. That is a personality trait that you WANT your surgeon to have (smile).

My impression of him didn't change. I have had two brief encounters with this man. He treated me with respect and answered all of my questions. My impression of him is the same. He knows what he is doing and that is all that matters.

The staff at the Peoria Surgical Group is unbelievable. I do not care for the office manager (since we are talking about staff here). Malinda is nice but never returned ONE of my phone calls (after sitting in their lobby the second time I began to understand). Gwen is a dream. Kind, considerate, and returned every one of my phone calls and had respect for me. She made up for anything lacking in that area.

Dr. Rossi emphasizes aftercare. That to him is as important as the surgery itself. Just because you survive surgery, doesn't mean that you are "good-to-go." He does his part and expects you to do yours but he is very respectable in how he addresses that issue.

He has a very structured after-care program. Every physician at the Peoria Surgical Group does.

Future patients should know that the Peoria Surgical Group is a very fast paced, busy office. They do not just do bariatric surgery. They are a multi procedure surgical group and it is important for anyone going into this that they realize that you are one of thousands. Do NOT expect special treatment (this is for pre-op) and if someone offends you DO NOT ask to speak to the office manager! Be patient. Let them call you (this is for pre-op).

Dr. Rossi did discuss the risks of surgery with me at length but his confidence was reassuring.

Overall, I will give Dr. Rossi an eight. He will get the other two after surgery (smile).

Bedside manner was over the top. He is so busy, I do not know how he does it. But he still makes the time to look you in the eye (so to speak). Bedside manners... I give him a 10.5. As far as surgical competence I would have to say if he did not know what he was doing, he simply would not be a surgeon. Okay, there might be some out there that don't. But I am putting my fate, life, trust in this man. If I did not think he could do it (regardless of how I feel about his staff or his bedside manners) I would not be trusting him with my life.

My first impression of Dr. Rossi was that he was a very friendly caring person. The local support group had a Christmas party for the post-surgical people and invited the people like me who where considering the surgery. The group invited the surgeons to attend and Dr. Rossi was the only one to show up. I think it is important for the surgeons to stay in touch with the people that have decided to have this surgery so that they can have some idea of what post-surgical bariatric patients are going through. They also need to remember just how much of a potential positive and life changing event that they are greatly involved in. This surgery has given me back my life and is allowing me to see my kids grow up and is giving me more years with my wife. I am very glad that I had this surgery and would do it again. In 2.5 months I have lost 120 pounds and feel great and haven't been hungry at all.
Dr. Rossi explained the risks to me during my preop meeting and the expected benefits and left it to me to decide whether to have the surgery or not. I have only praise for his surgical talents and bedside manner. He seems to be a very competent surgeon and I am glad that I chose him.
The choice whether or not to have this surgery is a personal one. No one can decide for you. For me, the choice was to have the surgery and I have been pretty lucky so far with no complications but like anything else nothing is guarenteed. This is a very serious surgery and all information should be weighed very carefully before a decision is made.
