My first impression of Dr. Clark was very good. He seemed very knowledgable about the type of surgery that he does. I feel I have chosen the right doctor for my needs. His staff seemed like they knew how to get you approved through your insurance company. But Tracy let me know that all i need for my insurance was the pschy elvaluation.

Dr. Clark is wonderful. I am the original patient from hell, I ask all kind of questions and want to know the most intriquit details. He answered everything.
I really like the confidence that Dr. Clark has in his procedure. The way he has the surgical process set up with training and visits to other Drs and the dieticiam was wonderful. No one can go wrong with his way of treating the whole person.

I have not had a personal appointment with Dr. Clark yet. I have attended his initial seminar and I felt Dr. Clark was very informative about the surgery as well as the risks. He answered questions honestly. Aftercare is definitely stressed. As well as the fact that this surgery is only a tool. You must change your behavior in your eating and exercise habits for it to be successful.

Dr. Clark removed my gallbladder 3 yrs. ago and I was so impressed with his skill and kindness. He was absolutely my choice for surgeon of the VBG procedure. AND, his bariatric patients think he's the best.

The office staff is understanding, kind, and efficient.

What I admire most about Dr. Clark is his Spirit and the way he uses his life to help others.

When talking with him, you are the most important person in the room.

He tries to prepare us for after surgery demands and possible problems, but everyone is so different, it's difficult to plan. His aftercare program is the usual follow-up visits and he makes sure there is a support group available, as well as his staff, for the duration of our needs, whether it be a year or lifetime.

We were definitely told of the risks of this surgery. He answers honestly any and all questions re: how many of his patients have died, and the reasons.

He is literally the person I'm putting my life in his hands. His skill is most important to me, but his bedside courteous manner is also fantastic.

I have no negative comments re: Dr. Clark, however, this is a serious decision we each must make for ourselves. This is just my opinion, and is not an expression to either have or not have this surgery. We are each individuals, with different needs and expectations, and able to make our own choices.

I am now 12 days post-op and Dr. Clark is absolutely the best. I had complications during surgery and he took care of them immediately. I'm so glad he's my doctor.

When I first saw Dr Clark, I thought this is a handsome gentleman! During the seminar he provided alot of information and answered every question that was asked of him. He made me feel like he really cared about me as a person. I like the fact that this is all he does is perform this surgery so I know he is very proficient in this. His office staff is so friendly and helpful. I haven't met many office staffs that have been so wonderful, but I guess when you work with a wonderful man you have a beautiful personality.

Dr. Thomas Clark is a wonderful doctor, he is a very caring professional. I am very glad that I went to the WLS clinic for help with my weight problem.

Attended a seminar with Thomas Clark in his office and felt he was very informative, easy to understand, and that he was sincere. He seemed to have a sence of humor, seemed professional, but not stuffy, and very easy to talk too. I look forward to getting to know him better through this journey, and he came with excellent recommendations not only from my regular doctor I have known for 20 years, but also a former patient of his. I feel very confident with him as my surgeon.

I heard about Dr.Clark from a friend. He was very upfront about the risks of the surgery and that it wasn't a 'quick fix'.He is friendly, answers all questions in full.He does the teaching(his staff also does a great deal of teaching).I'm a nurse and I see most MDs turn the teaching over to staff. His office staff are wonderful. They are very friendly, polite, and helpful. No phone call ever was placed on hold.My follow up visits are at two week intervals where once again my husband and I are taught about diet et al.The aftercare program is structured to include the dietian and psycologist as needed.I would rate him as the only one to consider for this surgery. When I choose a doctor,I am more concerned with his/her surgical competence than bedside manner. After all this is what we hire them for. In the case of Dr.Clark,he excells in both.I have no complaints.

My first impression of Dr Clark was that he is very informant but he looks young. After sitting through the seminar and talking to him one on one I realized he knows his stuff. He looks young but when he opens his mouth you no longer think of how young he looks.
The staff seemed to be friendly. They were very fast in getting my disability papers filled out and sent back in. I'm really not much of a socializer.
There isn't anything I disliked about Dr. Clark. Dr Clark is always eager to answer any questions you have. He seemed to be the first doctor in for surgery every morning. The nurses on the floor always expect him earlier than he says. He is always so positive and has great bedside manners. Dr clark emphasize aftercare from day one throughout. He has a very good class that tells you what to expect how to deal with them. the book he gives us is a tool that we will use throughout life. The risks of surgery were emphasized constantly. So as not to forget how serious this surgery is. Dr Clark is awesome:He is so laid back and relaxed. He has a great reputation with the nurses at hampton general in such a short time.He is the best.(this is my opinion)
Surgical competence and bedside manner go hand in hand. You have to know what you're doing but, after its done your careing attitude or lack of will determine how well the patient recovers.
