My first impression of Dr. Simon was that he seemed very confident. I met him first at a pre-op informational meeting before scheduling the surgery. After I had signed up for surgery, my husband and I went to a meeting discussing the surgery for families and my husband passed out. Dr. Simon was very kind and helpful. The office staff is very busy, and can be somewhat impatient, but are usually pretty friendly. I don't really have anything I don't like about him. The best thing is that when I have had problems or questions, he calls back faster than any doctor I have ever had. I have follow up appointments every few months for two years. I know they offer support groups, but I haven't gone. I need to, though. He was very honest and open about the risks of surgery. Patients are required to go to meetings discussing the risks, etc. I would rate him as very good. I would say his bedside manner and surgical competence were both good.

My first impression of Dr. Simon was great, he answered any and all questions and explained everything that will be going on during the surgery. The office staff has been great and very helpful with all my ups and downs that have come with the denials and what I needed to do. Everyone in the office emphasize in the aftercare, it is important to them that you are successful. Dr. Simon and staff are very open and honest with the risks of surgery.

I met Dr. Simon and had a ton of questions. He is very understanding and answers every question thoroughly and thoughtfully.

Very nice man and seems to be honest and sincere. Very informative.

I have not had surgery yet but I would definately recommend him to any other people looking into WLS.

So far he's a 10 but I will update after my surgery!

Dr. Steven C. Simon left a wonderful lasting impression on me and my husband. He was extremely thorough in his trainging and answered all questions in detail. His staff as well were very attentive and informative. My siblings flew to Arizona to be with me-one sister a nurse of many years was pleased with Dr. Simon's care of me as well as communicating with them during the whole ordeal. Aftercare-that was the main subject throughout the trainging and followup visit. The surgerical risks were explained in all detail. Dr. Simon and his staff were very factual and did not try to paint a rosy picture. When you walked out of the training-you knew the true outcome would be up to you. Bedside manners-were wonderful! There is nothing negative in the least to say about Dr. Simon or his staff. I'd highly recommend him to anyone I know.

My first impression of Dr. Simon was in a group consulation and I thought that he was very informative.

The next time I actually saw Dr. Simon was the Friday before my surgery and I thought that he was older than what I remembered.

To be honest there really wasn't anything that I didn't like about him.

Future Patients should know that he wants you to walk up hills prior to surgery, to help with breathing after surgery.
He has a good structured aftercare program.

He addressed all of the risk of surgery in his group consultation, and his office also addresses the risk in the pre-op meetings that you have to attended.

He is an excellent Dr. and I would and have refered him to others.

I would have to say that both his surgical competence and beside manner are great, but I had to pick just one I would say that his surgical competence is excellent.

Dr Simon was clear, direct to the point. His seminar gave me a wealth of information about the procedure that he preforms.

The staff is kind and willing to help.

Dr. Simon works with Dr Newhoff. Both surgeons take their job very seriously. They have been very attentive with me. They're service has been more then I could have ever expected.
