Stanley Hahn Bariatric Surgeon M.D.,F.A.C.S.

Dr. Hahn is especially personable and is exceptional in his efforts to educate/inform his patients. During my initial visit with him, he was EXTREMELY informative of the two surgeries that he does, and is thorough in his efforts to explain the procedures, the drawbacks of both and his personal recommendations for after-care. His questions are extensive, which I was glad to see, and his staff is beyond EXCELLENT. They are kind people and they go beyond the call of duty to help with referrals and many other "technical difficulties". I can't think of anything that I liked "least' about him or his staff. He was very informative about the risks and procedures of the surgery. My major concern was surgical competence, but I felt assured, after meeting Dr. Hahn, and experiencing his truthfulness (about surgery, mortality rates and aftercare). I was only a little disappointed that the earliest that he seemed to have been able to get me in for surgery (if all goes well) was 2 months away, but thats no big deal considering how long I've waited so far.

My first inpression of doctor Hahn was he is very informative he did not hold back he let you know what to expect. His staff was very helpful they kept in informed of everything. I didn't have to worry about anything. I would say if anyone that is in my area that is considering having the surgery need to check Dr.Hahn out he is awesome.

First impression is he is very thorough in explaining my options and the risk of all procedures. It may have been too thorough!!LOL Being in the medical field I guess we know thatt too much terminology can scare you!!LOL All joking aside ..he really made me feel I can trust him with such a serious operation....
His staff was great..very kind and concerned.. They were very knowledgable in the insurance department!!

my surgeon is wonderful. his office staff has been great, very helpful. i could not have been treated better. i honestly have no complaints about my doctor or his staff.
at first when i thought about having the surgery, i wanted to go to houston or dallas. i am thankful that i did not. we are lucky to have dr.hahn so close to home.
he is very competent and i would honestly tell anyone interested in having the surgery to use him. in fact my sister had dr.hahn do her surgery 5 days before mine. she is doing great too.

My first appointment is Aug. 16, 2000. Will let you know then.

My first impression of Dr Han was one that would take the time to answer all questions that I might have. My wife and I went to see him and after the meeting she felt much better about what was about to happen to me. Dr. Han was so enjoyable to talk to, but even more was his staff they really opened my eyes as what was in store for me. I am scheduled for june the 22. Pray for me.

I met Dr. Hahn and was immedialtely at ease with him. He was very thorough in his presentation and never seemed rushed or irritated by my numerous questions - some very redundant! His staff has been very friendly and has followed through on every request I made of them. So far I am very pleased with Dr. Hahn and his staff.

Dr. Hahn ,his wife and staff are very great..I feel so confident and fortuate to have found such a surgeon and a caring one at that..all his post ops feel the same ...

Dr. Hahn was very impressive... however, it is my experience that his staff still lacks knowledge..(his only noted flaw) but he himself is wonderful! He's blunt, easy to follow, and very discriptive. He just "tells it like it is!" In my experience, aftercare is minimal.. no structure at all...
He is almost too vivid with potential surgical problems.. but its necessary. I would trust Dr.Hahn and his surgical team for any family member.. he's really very good.
Dr. Hahn's surgical competence is awesome.. His choice in Anesthesiologists and Assistant rate high too.

Only one negative .. and thats his staff. It is my impression that they are not medical professionals... but Billing clerks and secretaries... I think he needs someone who is knowledgable firsthand of Obesity, tolerant of large people and adjustments necessary to weigh, take blood pressure, etc. In my opinion, his staff leaves alot to be desired although I must say they are "friendly"....

I have seen Dr Hahn just one time, but really was impressed with him. He is so good about answering your questions. I was really concerned about my insurance paying but thanks to Donna for keeping on my insurance company I have been given the go ahead for surgery. My surgery is scheduled on 12/14/99. I can't wait!
