Dr. Hahn was very nice. I feel very confident in his ability as a surgeon. He took time to answer all my questions. He told me all the risks and benefits of the surgery and did not sugar coat it.
I really like Dr. Hahn. I would definately recomend him to anyone. His office staff is very sweet as well. I have complete confidence in him as a surgeon. He is very thorough and he seems to really care. The only negative thing is they sometimes have to reschedule you on your follow ups. But I look at it this way-- He is probably busy giving another patient personal attention when they are in need of it. If that is the case it makes him an even better surgeon in my opinion.
Dr.Hahn gave me a very good first impression, based on his ability to answer any and all questions I had.His office staff is excellent, and never failed to help me in any way I asked.I have seen Dr. Hahn once since surgery, and his aftercare program is very good. They really do care for their patients. If anyone in the Texas area is looking for a doctor,I would very highly suggest Dr. Hahn and his staff. It has been years since I have dealt with such an excellent Dr.and staff.
When I first went to see Dr. Hahn was at a seminar he holds about once a month for people looking into the surgery. I didn't know what to expect at first. I knew he was oriental, so I was worried about not understanding him speak, but when I met him, he spoke better english than me! That was great, I don't like not understanding, especially with something as important as this. He is really wonderful, very smart and studied under a Dr. that help come up with this kind of surgery. That was impressive. He is very kind and knowledgeable. I feel very safe with him operating on me. I feel like I am in good hands. The only downside is that he only does it open instead of Lap. I would prefer lap, but I feel like I am in good hands with him even though it is open. I would so far recommend him to anyone in the area.
I have met with Dr. Hahn twice as I've battled the insurance companies seeking approval for WLS. Dr. Hahn is professional and informative. His office staff is the absolute best. Most of my interaction has with Kay. She has gone above "duty" in helping me get insurance approval and answering so many questions.
Dr Hahn is very knowledgable about the procedure, the types and the risks, the advantages and disadvantages very well stated. I have used him again recently for an incisional hernia repair and am still very happy with his care. Office staff helpful but not as knowledgable about procedure. Aftercare thru immediate post-op very good but after 2-3months no followup. overall am happy with him as surgeon and with procedure.
I had my first visit with Dr. Hahn on Jan. 15 2003. He was very nice and seemed to be interested in everything I had to say. He explained the surgery in detail. He went over all the possible risks and outcomes. I was very impressed with Dr. Hahn and his office staff was great. They put me at ease from the very beginning. We are now at the wait and see stage with my new insurance. I have waited 2 years to be able to go see a surgeon. I feel like I have taken a major step in taking my life back.
My first impression of Dr. Hahn was one of great confidence and experience. I appreciate the straightforwardness and candor of our discussion. He is amazingly frank about each of the surgery types and pulls no punches about the positive and the negative aspects of each. I feel confident that I have made a wise choice, choosing him as my surgeon.
Dr. Hahn's staff are friendly and concerned. They were supportive of me even prior to my first appointment. I was mailed a packet that afforded me several pieces of valuable information and the luxury of completing the medical history in the privacy of my home. It allowed me to gather the vital information I needed, so the Doctor's Staff could get my surgery approved on the first attempt.
Dr. Hahn strongly emphasized the need for good after care. He stressed the importance of the after surgery doctor's visits as well as the support group meetings. Dr. Hahn's Support Group is well established and on the grow.
Dr Hahn earns my highest rating. I am impressed. I am ready for surgery.
Found Dr. Hahn very easy to talk to and he was very patient while I asked him my many questions. He explained the surgery in detail giving me the good, the bad, and the ugly.
His office staff was great. They were professional and busy with their tasks but made me feel at ease.
Dr. Hahn explained in detail the aftercare in order for my surgery to be a success.
Like all surgeries, there are risks involved but the percentages are not any higher for this surgery than other surgeries.
The decision to have this surgery has been long in coming. I have read articles, researched the internet, and have talked to several patients of Dr. Hahn. In the majority of cases, when asked if they would do the surgery over again, all of them answered YES and that they had wished they had the surgery earlier than they did.
I first saw Dr. Hahn on September 6, 2001
in the hallway of his office. Only to have
a great dissapointment when I found out I would not be able to complete my appointment with him on that date because my referring physician failed to put my referral into the insurance company. Out of anger I called my insurance company on that date September 6, 2001 changed my PCP as of that date. Called another PCP who I knew worked very closely with Dr. Hahn, was fortunate to get an appt the following Tuesday the 11th of September with the new PCP. He very carefully went over my medical history and while I waited in his office he called back to Dr. Hahn's office and made my appt and called the referral into my insurance office. I went back to Dr. Hahn on Monday Sept 17, 2001.I can't say enough good things about his office staff, they went out of their way to help me expedite things as quickly as possible. I had done all of my homework and had all my medical records together and ready to go. The dr's office tranmitted the paperwork to the insurance office on Tuesday September 18, 2001. On Thursday Sept 20, 2001 I received a call from the Insurance company and I missed the call. I called the insurance company on Friday Sept 21 and told them I was returning their call. The nurse/caseworker asked me about 3 or 4 questions, which I answered for her over the phone and she told me right then and there that she was approving my surgery and would be transmitting the paperwork to the surgeon's office that same day. I then called my surgeon's office and spoke to Donna (the office manager) who told me she would call me on Monday to give me a date. I can't believe it was this fast and this simple. I have heard horror stories about other people fighting their insurance companies. All I can say is my hat is off in a salute to Cigna HMO, Sherman, Texas.
Dr. Hahn is very quiet and professional. Thoroughlly explained the procedure, risks etc. Answered all my questions. His office staff has been AWESOME!!!! I haven't had to deal with insurance gunk at all! I have already attended one support group meeting and was shocked to see the # of people attending.
