Dr. Baker seems very professional yet he is warm and calm. He seems very confident and very willing to answer any questions. Roylin is the person that deals with the ins. and she is great at her job. She is very empathetic and down to earth. The lady that schedules the surgeries seems to be noce as well. MMPC has a great preop program and the aftercare program is good as well. Over all I am pleased with my choice (MMPC) and I would highly recomend this office and Dr. Baker.
My impression of Dr Baker was he is straight forward and to the point. The staff at MMPC has been fantastic. When I went to my initial consult, I had all of these questions I wanted to ask him. I told him that it was funny, because everytime I started to ask a question, he already gave me the answer.
I also felt at ease with Dr. Scott, and Dr White.
I'm very confident with the decison that I made.

My first impression of Dr Baker, was... gosh he looks a lot like my cousin's husband! - but beyond that, he was quick to ask if we (my husband and I) had any questions. Wanted to be sure we were in agreement and at ease with the decision of pursuing WLS. I am very pleased with the process of pre-op and post-op. My aunt had her surgery done there in April of 2004, and has had wonderful success - and has been extremely helpful as to know what to expect from MMPC. I also greatly appreciate the fact that Dr Baker is a Christian - and that his hands are guided by "The Great Physician"
Open, honest concerning possible side effects and complications. Has had many years of experience. Has high expectations of his patients commitment to following the rules.
Office staff is excellent. Lots and lots of follow-up care. I love that all the pre surgery screenings were done on-site.
Very structured program both before and after. Very quick approval.
I would give Dr. Baker and MMPC huge ratings along with Spectrum Health Blodgett campus for their care and expertise. Everything for me went very smoothly.
I just met Dr. Baker for the first time a few days ago. My first impression was great! He was direct, matter of fact, and honest. These are usually qualities that make me uncomfortable with my doctor, but Dr. Baker was able to do all these things, and still show a level of compassion and respect, rather than disdain and contempt that I feel I have often recieved from others in the medical community. I aprreciate that my appointment was not long and drawn out, but I felt as if Dr. Baker had all the time in the world to sit and talk to me, if that is what I wanted and needed. One thing I am very excited about is that Dr. Baker is a Christian. I had heard that, and so asked, and he confirmed. Not that that is absolutely necesarry, but it is nice to know that he will be seeking the guidance of the same higher power as I.
Pleasant at all times.
The day following surgery I felt very logey and just plain bad, I resented his not asking how I felt...but announcing that I was fine...when I didn't feel well at all.
My lack of post operative problems and incredibly fast recovery speak very well to his skills.
I was briefed about what to expect, but since I live across the country, I have no structured aftercare plan. My internal medicine dr is doing followup blood tests.
Dr. Baker was wonderful. His office and staff was very helpful. They had a very supportive program three years ago when I had the surgery and I'm sure that it has only improved. I have recommended him to several people and know many people that have gone to him for surgery. I wouldn't have gone anywhere else.
