My first impression of him was WOW. He is not what I expected. (as far as his physical appearance goes.) He is so tall! and really handsome. People told me, but it was alot different seeing him for myself.
After I met with him, my impression of him was that He is a very professional, yet easy going doctor who is extremely easy to talk to and extremely straightforward about the procedure and all of the risks. He is also a Christian. I feel better knowing that God will be guiding his hand when I go under the knife.
His office staff is awesome. All were friendly and helpful. His nurse Tara was great because she really spent time going over everything with us. She is a very slender, very beautiful young lady, and she never once treated me as if I were any different that she is. She really has a strong desire to help the Obese population. Dr Enochs does too. They both are confident and beleive 100% in the surgery.
Surgical competence-- Just ask any of his patients. Bedside manner is awesome. Two thumbs up! On a scale of 1-10, I would rate Dr. Enochs and his staff a 12. God Bless!
<b>I had my consultation with Dr Enoch on Wedneday, May 26,2004 at their office in Louisburg, NC. Their process begins with signing in with the front office staff. After signing in at the front desk, they gathered my personal data. Then they call you back individually to weigh you, calculate your BMI and take your vital signs. After my wait in the waiting room for them to process the other five people, they sent all of us to a room to watch a 30 minute video. The video was informative. After the video, Tara, Dr Enoch's assistant, came in and spoke with us as a group. She descibed their bariatric before and aftercare program in depth. Also,we were given a very detailed post operative information packet. I felt that she answered all of our questions honestly. She seem very compassionate about our welfare. Then she asked us to wait patiently for our individual consultations with Dr Enoch and herself. Finally I met with Dr Enoch, he was very friendly. I felt that he listened to me. He answered all my questions. He addressed the risk involved. Tara explained to me that it would take about 3 weeks for them to set up and send my appointments for my labs.
Dr. Enochs was my second opinion. I only wish I had met him first. Being a Registered Nurse I am naturally overly inquisitive and he was ready with very detailed answers for me.
As time has passed while I have gone through the extensive pre-op procedure I have been equally impressed with him and his entire team. I have yet to find anything I disliked about him.
Bariatric specialist of North Carolina as a whole is very focused on all aspects of your experience and gives you all the assistance you need to achieve a positive outcome.
I will reserve any furthur comment until after I have had my surgery, but I have all the confidence in Dr. E and his team.
I found Dr. Enochs to be very well informed about this procedure on my first visit to him. I'd already heard a lot of good things about him from other people, as well as my primary care doctor, so I went in knowing that I was making a good decison by choosing him as my surgeon.
My sister, who went with me to the hospital, said that he was very nice and took plenty of time to explain exactly the procedure that he'd done and what (if any) kind of complications I might have as a result of the procedure. He also took plenty of time to answer all questions that she had about my condition as well as the procedure.
When Dr. Enochs came to check on me in the hospital, he was very happy with my progress and even though he's extremely busy, he didn't act as though he was in any kind of a rush. That's one of the many things about Dr. Enochs that sets him apart from other doctors I've had to visit in the past.
Overall, my opinion of Dr. Enochs is a very good one. I'd highly recommend him to anyone who is considering having this surgery.
Dr. Enochs has been great to work with. He's quick to answer any question that you might have. He's extremely approachable and makes you feel as if you are his only patient. He clearly defined the risks and pointed out possible complications. The documentation of aftercare is concise and clear so very little questions.
As I was having all my pre-op tests, every doctor, nurse, previous patient that I talked to, had only positive things to say about Dr. Enochs. I can't say that they had positive things to say about some other bariatric doctors though.
His staff is first class... don't know what I would have done without Tara helping me through the insurance process, pre-op, and post-op.
My only complaint is his location... Louisburg, NC. I'm from the south end of Raleigh and it's a 50 mile drive for me to visit his office. I was so grateful that I was able to have my surgery at Rex rather than travelling to Franklin Regional.
However, Dr. Enochs is opening another office closer to Raleigh in the October, so all hope isn't lost.
I am now two weeks post op and have to say that I think Dr. Enochs is the best. I have suffered less pain and discomfort than I expected and feel it is his skill and experience as a bariatric surgeon that made the difference. Not only his skill, but his attitude is to be credited as well. Thank you Dr. Enochs for being the person you are and using the gifts you have to help others get back their lives.
Even though overloaded with work, Dr. Enoch's staff are forever helpful, patient and forgiving. They deal with the hopful, the scared, the anxious every day and maintain their professionalism as well as their concern. Kudos to them all, I don't think I could do as well.
As for aftercare, I saw Dr. Enochs one week out and will again in two more weeks. I was provided with a detailed schedule of what to expect through the first seven weeks, which is very helpful.
I first met Dr. Enochs at a LOSERS meeting and was so surpised..He is young but makes wonderful eye contact...I watch things like that very closely. He did not even blink when I told him of my co-morbidities and proceeded to tell me the things that I would need. I was so surprised and pleased that he treated me with dignity and warmth..He was not even surprised when I told him that I had a stapeling 23 years ago..He was very informed about the old type surgeries and their failure and why they failed. He explained why my surgery would have to be considered a revision. He gave me the one thing I so badly needed...HOPE...and then there was Tara. One of the best compliments Dr. Enochs could have chosen. Tara is a dynamic nurse who really cares about the obese population and believes in this surgery and Dr. Enochs surgical skill, in my opinion as a 37 year veteran nurse...this is an unbeatable pair. I understand that choosing a surgeon is a very personal decision...and I know within my heart that I have chosen the right physician for me.
My first impression of Dr. Enoch was that he was a outstanding person in general. As a Physician i was very impressed. His office staff was as pleasant as can be. Very knowledgable individuals. Thanks Tara!!!!!!
Dr. Enoch addressed all pros and cons about the surgery. He explains aftercare and risk about the surgery. I think future patients would be very pleased and comfortable with him. He has both great bedside manner and surgical competences that i have observed. Thanks again for the support from him and his entire office staff.
