My first impression of Dr. Enochs was that this is a doctor that knows his field and that he knows how to talk to patients, he made me feel comfortable talking with him.

It just got better.

The staff at the first office I visited was great. At the larger office I sometimes had trouble with getting phone calls returned.

That I had to travel to get to the larger office since the other office is only ten minutes from my home.

Future patients should know that Dr. Enochs is a doctor that has EARNED the trust of a lot of people. And that he will take time to answer all your questions. And give you information about the surgery.

He puts a lot of emphasis on aftercare with followup appointments with him and by the suggestion to join a support group.

He adressed the risk of surgery to me very straight forwardly, stating that this was a major surgery, and further complicated by my other helth problems.

On a scale of 1-10 I would rate him a 10.

I feel that his surgical competence and his bedside manners are both great.

First Impression was one of a careing cheerful crediable professional
Tara is great she smiles and answers your questions even when she is rushed busy pulled in twenty different directions. I belive that she knows in my heart I am a nervous shakey mess about all this and she does her best to keep me calm.
My Advice to a new patient
Be patient listen to him and ask any questions you have he will answer them.
After care is several things to Dr E I think he looks at after care as a life long thing he told me when I first met him his goal is not the surgery his goal is to help me lose this weight and that has stuck with me most DR's are about the moment the procedure I believe DR E is about the future about the outcome the whole picture.
So Far I rate him an A+ and hopefully he'll lose no points with me.
He explained the risks with out hesitation and I believe from all my research he did not hide any risks he was honest.
Dont' know about surgery skills yet only by what I ve heard but his bedside manner is great our dr/patient relationship has been tested with a few trials and tribulations and he has faired well in my mind. Even when things did get negative and out of context he has always been professional and careing.

My first impression was the he seems very knowledgeable. My second impression was that he seems very young. My final impression, after talking at length with him, is that he is AWESOME.

Dr. Enochs is a terrfic surgeon!!! He answered all of my and my husband's questions thoroughly. He was very informative and completely forthcoming as to what I was to expect after surgery. He is compasionate, caring, and very sensitive to the feelings of a morbidly obese person. He came and saw me before surgery, I woke up from the anesthetic to him talking to me, when an associate checked on me the next day, he called to ask the nurses how I was doing. The next day after surgery when I went to have my stomach checked to make sure that there were no leaks, there was some misinformation given to me by the technician and Dr. Enochs called me and reassured me that everything was okay. I went to see him 10 days after surgery and he was just as caring as he was before surgery. He is very concerned that everything is going okay and that there are no problems. I think that Dr. Enochs is an excellent surgeon!!!

So far, I have only emailed with Dr. Enochs. He was very helpful in his email and offered for me to email him anytime with questions or concerns. From everything I have read, I will be very blessed to have him as my surgeon. I can hardly wait to meet him in a month or so when he opens his new office!

Dr. Malik, and Lisa Long MSN, FNP-C were very thorough in their explanation of the Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass procedure. It was very detailed, and discussed the positives and negatives of surgery. Dr. Malik is very direct, but seemingly compassionate, as well. However, I feel I learned just as much about the procedure, as I've done on my own research.

They will have one of their staff contact me regarding all the testing procedures; times and dates.

They encouraged me to ask questions, write them down, and bring to the next appointment.
They discussed after-care, and emphasized that I become involved with a support group.

Having said all I have in regard to Dr. Malik, my initial visit was to have been with Dr. Enoch. For some unknown reason my appt. was rescheduled to an earlier date with Dr. Malik. I feel a bit unsettled about that. I'm not questioning Dr. Malik's expertise or lack thereof, but given all the positive comments made within this forum about Dr. Enoch, and he was the initial reason I made an appt with Triangle Surgical, I feel strongly with his experience, I should pursue that route instead. Although, I'm confident both are good surgeons, I have to listen to that small inner voice saying, "Dr. Enoch"!!!

The best advice I could possibly give is to listen to your own instincts.

Dr Enochs is a very caring physician. He seems to be very competent in his practice.
His staff are also very caring. They always make time to listen to your concerns.
I think what I liked best about him was his willingness to listen and his involvement with his patients. I am still waiting to be approved by insurance for surgery. Dr Enoch
meets with his patients 1:1 for at least an hour to discuss risk of surgery, aftercare,
and assure you he will be available if needed. How to get to evaluate his surgical competences and bedside manner soon!!

Dr Enochs has been great to work with. When I first met him I was impressed by his compassion for my situation.

His staff has been very helpful and forthcoming with information about the surgery and exhibit the same sort of compassion for you that he does.

The only knock I could have about Dr. Enochs is his youth but he knows his business and that soon faded away.

His aftercare program seems to be structured well. I saw him today, not quite 3 weeks post op and he talked at length about my diet, vitamins and protein needs.

Dr Enochs had known that I was worried about the surgery because of my previous problems with Pulmonary Embolisms and suggested an inferior vena cava filter implant to calm my fears. And that was the direction we took. And it was a good thing because I did develp a DVT and was forced to return to the hospital. My anticoagulant intake was increased and 2 days later I began internal bleeding and had to reenter the hospital. I was in for 3 days and Dr Enochs supervised my care rather than let a hospitalist or internist take over. I felt good about his willingness to jump in and get me straightened back out.

I would say that Dr Enochs is as good as they come based on my limited experience.

His bedside manner is probably his strongest asset although I'm sure his technical expertise is not lacking.
