I have met Dr. Marymor one time so far. I think that he is pretty reserved and tried not to let it show but was annoyed with me when I asked questions. Over all I think that he is a decent person but needs to be a little more laid back when it comes to meeting with his patients. Everyone that I have met at Ypsilanti Bariatrics clenic seem to be pleasant and professional. I will add more when I know more about him.

my first impression of my surgeon was that he really wanted you to understand what the procedure was about. that it was a life time commitment .my personal consaultan was melanie and she lost over 200lb herself so it made me feel good to meet and get to know someone before my surgery that has been through that type of surgery.my overall impression is good and i would do it agian in a heart beat.

Although I have had only one brief visit with Dr. Marymor, it was very positive. Both he and his staff were compassionate and knowledgeable. Their professionalism is well balanced with a sense of ease and friendliness. All my questions were thoroughly answered and I never felt rushed or pressured. Although I was initially very uneasy about the consultation, they managed to make it a positive experience. My only negative comments surround desires. I was hoping to also have my tubes tied during this surgery. Dr. Marymor indicated that this was not possible. Technically, it's "out of scope" for their facility.

iliked dr marymor very much answered all my questions and didnt have to ask.the nurse seemed very preoccupied but other then that was very pleased with the staff. dr marymor was very good about emphasizing the importance of aftercare and has a structured aftercare program and did explain all the risks of surgery.i give him a rate of a 10 because as i can say i came away knowing iam making the right choice for me

I have to say that overall I did like Dr.Marymor. When I went for my consultation I wasn't to sure, so I asked ppl on this website who had him as a surgeon what they thought and not one person had anything negative to say. When I went in for my surgery, I was having second thoughts the doctor did not try to pressure me he even suggested that I take more time to think it over he said that this is a big decision and I needed to be sure this is what I wanted. I respected him for that. I have to say that my overall experience was very good. I would recomend him to anyone.

Dr. Marymor was professional, yet understanding. He did not make me the least bit uncomfortable. I really learned from him at the initial consultation, and am looking forward to being his patient!

His office staff was amazing! I had the nicest patient counselor, she had the surgery 3 yrs ago, and looks totally amazing now. As a matter of fact before I knew who she was I saw her in the hallway and thought to myself "I cant wait to be able to wear a dress just like that one."

Dr. Marymor projected professionalism, and confidence in his ability which really put me at ease, but I was a little confused at some of the things he said, and left feeling like I didnt know where to go next, or what the next step was, but all the info i needed was in the patient packet the BTC provided me with. My patient counselor even gave me a gift card that deducted $60.00 off the price of the consultation!

My first impression of Dr. Marymor is one of trust, competancy, & caring. Did not make me feel stupid for the questions I asked & seemed to have a bit of a sense of humor. Office staff friendly. Only complaint so far is they dont return calls when I have left messages on phone recorder. However, they do answer questions promptly when you speak in person with them.
On 11-27-2001, I met with Dr.Kapala. I was not getting anywhere with the other Dr. as to getting a date before the end of this year. Dr. Kapala was so informative, really seem concerned, & definetly very direct as to what would take place. Also because of high risk for blood clots (family history, my age, & of course over weight) he will put in a Greenfield Filter. This was never mentioned at the other place. My date is 12-20-2001 for a micropouch open rny. I am very happy that I changed doctors!

My first impression of Dr. Marymor was that he was very professional. He asked me my understanding of the procedure and was very helpful answering my questions. After telling him I was an RN I felt he might have been intimidated, but later on he proved me wrong.
Office staff were very positive and very new! The facility which only does Bariatric
Surgery is under 2 years old and I'm sure with time the younger staff will learn alot.
Dr. Marymor is a totally dedicated physician.
He was gentle, caring, compassionate and always seemed to be at the Center all times
of the day and night. I kidded with him and said he must have a clone in the closet! Always fresh, clean. and on top of things..
I would as a medical professional recommend
him highly for a physician.........
He had expert surgical competence along with
compassionate bedside manner...a great winning combination.......

My doctor was Neil Marymor. He was wonderful. He
was very nice and understanding. The program at
Bariatric Treatment Center is very structured and
positive. There is a lot of support throughout the
entire hospital. They only specialize in gastric
bypass surgery. All of the doctors are willing to
help and answer questions.

Okie dokie, my first impression. Well, of course I was scared and being in my last years as a teen I was very shy. He was really nice and informative about the whole thing and told me about all the risks beforehand. After the surgery he checked in on me a couple of times a day which was really encouraging. The staff at BTC was terrific! The nurses were so nice and funny. They made me giggle a lot. I have nothing negative to say about the surgeon or staff. They were all great.
