Dr. Jawad is quiet, however he knows what he is doing. Very sraight forward. He did an excellent job, I am thankful he did my surgery.

Dr Jawaad was very informative and easy to talk to. All I have heard from other people in the medical field is what a great surgeon he is. The staff at the hospital said he is very clean in the OR and takes his time. I was very impressed with him after my surgery because he still took time to listen to any concerms I may of had.

Havent met his yet? Still waiting for the phone call to make the appointment.

I have not met Dr. Jawad yet. I have, however met his NP. She was very friendly and knowledgable. She explained everything in great detail and answered all questions that we had.

I was so excited to meet Dr. Jawad because of the good things I had heard of him from his own staff!!
He was pleasant, kind, and very interested in knowing that I had all my questions answered to my satisfaction. His bedside manner was wonderful also!!
His office staff was wonderful!! Always kind and supportive in all they do for you. Such advocates for us.
I would highly, highly recommend him to anyone who is wanted to have this done.I absolutely have not one negative thing to say...and am so greatful I chose him as my surgeon!!

Dr Jawad is a very quiet doctor. I liked the presentation he prepared for the first visit. He seems very confident and competent in doing this surgery. After reading all the testimonials and going to a support meeting that he spoke at, I'm very happy that he will be doing my surgery. The only negative aspect is that the office is very busy and could be more organized. I faxed an approval letter and almost two weeks went by before I got a call from the coordinator to say she hadn't gotten it, even though it was logged in as being received the date I sent it.

First appt. was on Dec. 19th,2002 very up front and to the point matter of fact. Staff appears very friendly and helpful. received letter several days after visit letting me know what they needed to file the insurance and get approval.
10/03 The girls handling the insurance area are not very profecient with their work. Advised two weeks ago that they must submit a intended surgical date before Ins. company would provide approval to them. After finally threaten to find a new surgeon they got busy and everything was taken care of in less than 24 hours. Must stay on top of them they say a squeeky wheel gets the job done well be squeeky if you are dealing with the insurance personal in Dr. Jawads office other than that things are great. Insurance company no problem just the office help. My own personal experience with this office personal was not great but bottom line I am approved and have a surgery date and I am thrilled.

My first impression was that he was not only very knowledgeable, but also very caring. He didn't rush me, but spent enough time with me to ask him all the questions I wanted to. Also, my sister, who was debating about having WLS, went with me and he also let her ask questions. After my visit I wasn't the only one that knew I had found the right surgeon. I had previously gone to Dr Overcash, also in Ocala, but he ran in and rushed our visit and then ran back out. Needless to say, I didn't return to his office. Dr. Jawad's staff is also very caring and helpful. He has sooo many patients, that know he is the very best, that it takes quite a while to get my calls returned from the coordinators however, but it is worth the wait and they are very helpful when I do hear back from them. I have been told many things about aftercare and I just got my approval for surgery! It is an important subject from the "get-go". I was told about all of the risks and what to expect after surgery. I felt more at ease efter my consultation. Overall, I would rate him on a scale from 1-10 as about a 20! I think I will hve the best of both worlds with great knowledge and great bedside manner too.

I find Dr Jawad to be an excellent surgeon. I had heard wonderful things about his abilities and I totally agree with what I heard.

As far as bedside manner is concerned, Dr Jawad always seemed to be prepared to answer any and all questions that I had.

Dr Jawad's office had a turn over in staff during my process. It was a bit of a mess for a while. One of the women who left was the person who handled pre-determinations. Yikes !!!

Dr Jawad stresses aftercare and wants us to understand that this is the most important part of the surgery.

Future patients should know that Dr Jawad is an excellent bariatric surgeon who has had excellent results in over 900 lap RNY surgeries. He is truly concerned with helping morbidly obese people lose weight and reclaim their lives.

My first impression of Dr. Jawad was distant, but very detailed with his proceedures, utmost professional. I seen him on my pre op date, he was warmer then, more at ease, I told him I was there so he could save my life, he gave me a reassuring smile and touched my shoulder and said that is what I will try to do. His office staff are very nice and friendly and he is so backed up, the wait is awful (took them almost 4 months to get my medical papers and request for surgery to my insurance company)still I feel over all they did a decent job. Future patients should be prepared to hear the truth. His emphasis on aftercare are well detailed and stressed to follow or you deal with it when you get ill. His aftercare plan is to maintain healthy and follow your diet he gives you. He was very blunt when explaining the risks of surgery. I feel I have chosen the right surgeon for me. If you don't feel comfortable with a surgeon then I would suggest you seek one that you are comfortable with, as you are placing your life in his hands.
