My first impression of Margaret was that she cared deeply about the people she was helping. She herself has no weight issues and therefore as someone who is overweight I thought "How can she understand?" But strangely enough she is one of those rare people who does not judge and has had those in her family with weight problems and had seen them suffer and that is why she decided to help those of us in need. I am so thankful to have had her as a surgeon. When I asked around I found that she is highly respected and I have recommended her to several people who also used her and were very happy they did. She beleives in follow up care and attending support group meetings, exercise classes (given free at St. V's) and regularly visiting your dietician. Definately her surgical competence is better as it should be. Her bedside manner is quiet but supportive. Thank you Margaret for giving me back the life I lost.
she was very open about the surgery and how important proteins are and she was just there for any questions and just was real informative during our consult.it really didn't change I liked her from the beginning. her office staff were and still are very informative, friendly, and really make you feel comfortable. That she was so booked, that when I got my approval, I had to wait 6 months for my surgery, but good things come to those who wait. That if you are thinking about wls than they should consider her, I would recommend her to anyone who is thinking about the wls. Aftercare was wonderful, they really believe in pain management, told you what to expect, and really stressed the issue about blot clots. I think that it was, she had a set schedule of return vistits, food menus at certain weeks ect. she explained it but didn't stress the issue, her motto was "If I don't think you are healthy enough to come off the table after surgery than you wont go on it, which made me feel good, because I didn't feel like she was just in it for the money, that she was careful about who she operated on. I would rate her knowledge and experience as excellent, her bedside manner could be just a little happier, but she is an excellent surgeon.
well i have met with Dr Inman , she is awsome .. she shoots stright from the hip about the surgery and makes sure your very informed.everyone at her office has been wonderful as far as asnwering questions , they seem to really care about what there doing. its not JUST a job to them..Dr.Inman is very tight on the aftercare program, told me if your not 100% commited it wont work... her after care program is very detailed , i look forward to going to my visits after surgery..she was very helpful when i had questions as far as the risk goes. her death rate is less then .02% and hey if you ask me thats awsome.. as far as doctors go, i would give Dr.Inman a 10....
The initial consult with Dr. Inman was in a group setting. She was very matter-of-fact and did not dance around any issues. She explained the surgery, its benefits and it's risks very thoroughly. I never got to speak with her on on one before the surgery, but was reassured by the number of these surgeries she has performed and only one death out of over 3500 people. The surgery was uneventful and she explained the procedure again before surgery. I have had a uneventful surgery and am progressing nicely. The aftercare program at St. Vincent's is one of the top in the nation. I would recommend this Surgeon and program highly.
I had a friend from work who spoke so highly about Dr Inman. After the consultation visit I knew this is the Dr for me. Everything went smoothly for me. Dr Inmans staff did all the work for me. I was approved after my first letter sent to my insurance. My surgery with Great no complatations at all.(As long as I dont eat or drink I shouldnt).Dr Inman does stress about how important it is to exerise after surgery. Before surgery I was very well informed of all the risks. I would highly recomend her and her staff to anyont thinking of having this surgery. She was both surgically competente and had a Great bedside manner.
I never really met Dr. Inman til the day of my surgery. She had talked to me and others in the first appointment I had but I never talked to her one on one I spoke with her P.A. Holly and she is very friendly and helpful.I have no doubt that Dr. Inman is a great surgeon she is a trama surgeon and has done this kind of surgery for 11 years so how can you get better than that? The day I went home Dr. Inman and Holly were both there answering all of my questions and being very supportive.I have nothing to say but good things about them both and the staff at St. Vincents are the best I dont think I would have got better treatment anywhere.
My experience with Dr. Inman was good. My personal opinion of her was she was very direct and informative. She encouraged questions, and gave specific answers to all questions asked and even gave us answers to some we forgot to ask.
She seem through and I felt she knew what she was talking abou. She used drawings to help me understand the surgery more, and went through each type of surgey and explained each one and how they differed. The only real negative I felt was a little rushed afterwards, and would have preferred to talk to Dr. Inman rather then her P.A.
So far her office staff has been more then helpfull and informative. I wish I could have had a little more one on one with her, but I understand with the busy schedule she has it is difficult.
She said this surgery will work if you as a patient use the surgery as a tool and follow your aftercare program well. The after care so far seems very good.
She never sugar coated the risk in any way, she made it know the risks are real and are to be considered by all!
So far I am happy with Dr. Inman & her Office Staff & St. Vincent Bariatric Center.
I love Dr. Inman's straight forward approach. She's been given a talent and the tools to help people and that is what she does. Her staff was very helpful and never seemed annoyed at any of my calls. At my original consultation I was at first a little overwhelmed by the # of other potential patients in the office. I felt sort of like we were being "herded" for a moment. However, after meeting Dr. Inman I realized that I was simply one of several people interested in the surgery. I'm extremely pleased w/ all of my interactions w/ Dr. Inman before my surgery and after.
