Dr. Inman is simply the best and greatest Bariatric Surgeon on the planet. I did find her a bit strange at first but that was just because it was a quick meeting the VERY first time. Over time, I learned she isn't so strange and is very meticulous and GREAT at her job and considerate to my needs and health. Her office staff is beyond magnificent and always ready to listen and answer any and all questions to my satisfaction.
There's really nothing I liked LEAST about her other than I wish there were more of her doing the DS. Getting a doctor on call unfamiliar with DS can be a pain!
Aftercare is VERY important and heavily emphasized. No question is dumb or wrong and there is a wonderfully structured aftercare program!
Dr. Inman carefully described all the risks in the surgery. I would give her a big fat TEN on a scale from 1 to 10!
Dr. Inman has a great beside manner (again a little weirdish) and surgical competence beyond my expectations!
My surgery was 12/08/10..I would highly recommend Dr.M.Inman for her surgical expertise. She is very focused on the task at hand. If you are wanting a "friend relationship" with your surgeon-she probably isn't it. She is very professional and matter of fact.
Dr.Inman was highly recommended by 2 co-workers who had their RNY surgeries done by her.
She is matter of fact and tells it like it is. Her office staff: I have split opinions on right now - her office manager Colleen is exceptional as is Amy the benefits specialist. The receptionist isn't overly friendly but hopefully that will change as I have more contact with her.
Aftercare is highly emphasized with many resources at your disposal. I would prefer to rate Dr.Inman overall - after surgery.
All my research and inquiries rate her surgical compentency exceptional. She is one of few surgeons in Indiana that does the BPDDS/lap procedure on any regular basis.
The day of my surgery Doc Inman came in to talk to me as I lay in my surgery gown. She went over some stuff with me, gave me the lengths she would use and what have you. When asked if I had any questions one thing came to mind. How many times in the past have you had to revert to open from lap? Her response was very reassuring, "Mmmm, once" she said. I nodded, I knew I had come to the right woman! I remember the surgery room, it was all laid out so perfect, so sterile white and chrome...and cold. My DS has been great so far, an easy recovery and good results so far. Dr. Inman is a busy woman who is great at what she does. My DS procedure took her under 2 hours...what a PRO, right???
Thank You Dr. Inman, I couldn't have done it without you!! Believe me I have tried...
She came off as a very professional and intelligent person.
Dr. Inman is very professional, thorough, and takes a personal interest in following her patients. She is very informative, and responds with a complete explaination to all questions. If you are a smoker, please be advised that if you would like to keep her as your surgeon, you will need to quit smoking for life. She does not promote any unhealthy behavior, and she will not tolerate it. I feel blessed to have doctor Inman as my surgeon. Please feel free to do your own diligent research, as you will be impressed.
I am so happy to have Dr Inman as a my doctor. I would of not wanted anybody but her do my DS surgery. She knows her stuff and I am very happy with my results. I know I can call her office any time if I need anything.

I HAD MY CONSULT WITH DR INMAN ON OCTOBER 29TH 2007. I THOUGHT SHE WAS GREAT! SHE WAS VERY EAGER TO ANSWER ALL MY QUESTIONS. I AM VERY
COMFORTABLE WITH MY CHOICE OF DR INMAN TO BE THE SURGON TO HELP ME START MY LIFE CHANGING JOURNEY! I CANT WAIT TO GET A SURGERY DATE AND HAVE MY DS.... **UPDATE** 1-17-11
Wow it has been almost 3 yrs since I had my DS with Dr Inman on April 9th 2008. She saved my life in more ways than one for sure! She and her staff were very attentive to anything I needed or any questions I have had. I started weighing 370 lbs the morning of surgery and this morning (1-16-11) I weighed in at 159 lbs!! I would have never dreamed of losing over 200lbs 3yrs ago.. I would and have recomended Dr Inman to family and friends! Thank you Dr Inman!!!
I think Dr. Inman did a fabulous job with my surgery and would recommend her to anyone as a very conscientious and efficient surgeon.

Margaret Inman was great. She was very knowledgeable the first time I met her. Direct and to the point. As time went by she is a very nice lady who cares. Her office staff was very nice. I especially like her office manager, Colleen. She helped me so much through this whole process and transition. What I liked least is that they only gave me 1 round of antibiotics and didn't send me home with any and I ended up in the hospital 4 days later because of inflimation, the starting of an infection, around where the bowel had be reconnected and the appendix had been taken out. Maybe if I'd of been on antibiotics it would of saved me 6 more days in the hospital, but who knows. She is a wonderful surgeon and has wonderful follow up. It is structured and she does it herself, no nurse practioner(sp). You actually see Dr Inman. The risk of surgery, well I was very well informed. I think they went over that and had me sign the paper probably 4 times. The last being the morning of surgery. So yeah, I knew what I was getting into. I rate her overall as a wonderful surgeon. Surgical competence and bedside manner were both great, but if I had to choose I'd say the heck with bedside manner as long as she does the job as wonderful as she did. IMHO!!
