Through research I found that Dr. Schmitt is the most knowledgeable surgeon in the state. I thank God for finding him. Support is so important. I struggled some for te first month, but after going to a support group meeting I realized I was not the only one.
Having gastric bypass surgery was one of the best decisions I ever made. My health, well being, and self esteem have improved tremendously! I thank God for my wonderful tool! Dr. Schmitt is wonderful! He's honest, caring, and has great bedside manner. I highly recommend this skilled professional!!
I had gastric band surgery. A week later I'm off all diabetic meds and almost all blood pressure meds. Dr. Schmitt answered all my questions I had. He is very pleasant and has good bedside manner.

Dr. Lee Schmitt is a wonderful doctor. I was given all the information I needed prior to surgery. it was not just to make an appointment and get it done. It took me 3 months from start to finish. i was given all the pros and cons of the surgery. I greatly appreciate Dr. Schmitt for his dedication to his patients. Now I feel like I have a life to live! Also all I can say about the support meeetings is that if you want to succeed, ATTEND!

I am a mother of 2 and a wife. I have had weight problems all my life. I just desired o be a nice size where I don't have to buy large size clothes and always have people watch me when I enter the buildng or call me names its a hurting feeling and I just decided to fix it. He is a very nice and pleasant man, he asked questions and asked me if I had any. He made the decision very easy for me and thats not common. He made me feel as though I had a choice in the decision and not bagger me about it or confuse me in anyway. He is very generous and concerned. Thank God for Dr's like Dr. Schmitt.

I look foward to my future. My surgeon did a great job! he answered all my questions and didn't judge in anyway. He has a great staff that is supportive as well! Veronica, the bariatric coordinator, is the best walking library to Dr. Schmitt's program.
