My only regret with the Lap-Band is that I did not have it sooner. it has changed my life! Dr. Lee Schmitt was my surgeon. I could not have asked for a more knowledgeable, patient, and kind person to take me through this, he is the best!

Before surgery I couldn't walk very well because of my back. Now I can walk all I want without hurting. Dr. Schmitt is very encouraging and concerned about me doing well.

I weighed 397lbs when I came to Dr. Schmitt. 5 and 1/2 months after sugery I have lost 174lbs and feel great. He did a wonderful job. He has a good bedside manner. He is really concerned about his patients.

I was about 375 to 380lbs with high blood pressure, bad knees, back pain, and sleep apnea. Coming in was the best thing I ever did. Now I am 225lbs, running with my kid, and looking foward to a long long life with my wife. Dr. Schmitt is great, he gave me a new outlook on life. I love life now!!

I yoyo dieted for atleast 25 years losing large amounts of weight, as much as 85lbs, only to regain it back. After breast cancer diagnosis and treatment, I decided to do something about my weight and health. I chose the gastric band. Its been 15 weeks and I've lost 42lbs! Dr. Schmitt took time to make sure I understood the procedure and the effects as well as my responsibilities after surgery. His staff worked with me to prepare me and they have a GREAT attitude.

5 years ago I made the best decision in my life. If i hadn;t had gastric bypass I would be in a wheel chair, if i was still living. Dr. Schmitt is Great!

I feel like a new person after my wls thanks to Dr. Schmitt. The surgery was easy, I had no problems. I would do it again if I had to.

Since receiving a knee injury I found it increasingly difficult to maintain my weight. It has ket me in constant pain. Since gastric banding surgery, I have been able to decrease my pain medications plus do things around the house and my church that I haven't done in years. Dr. Schmitt has made himself available to us and returned any after hours calls promtly. I consider him to be one of the most professional physicians I have ever met. he comes across as a regular person, not haughty.

Dr Schmitt is a very good surgeon. He repaired a large hiatal hernia before he put my band in place. Before letting me leave the hospital he came in and watched while I did a barium swallow to make sure everything looked good. rnI would rate him a 10 out of 10.rn

I have been overweight as long as I can remember, atleast since age 5. Once researching gastric bypass I was eager to have it done. As a single mom I wanted to be a part of my daughter's life not just an observer. The change has been remarkable and an incredible gift from God! My sugeon was Dr. Schmitt. He was wonderful! Very caring, respectful, and understanding.
