I have been working with Dr Moran's office on getting all my testing completed so that I can submit to BCBS of GA for the Lap-Band procedure. Dr Moran was very professional and informative. His staff has been very helpful as well in trying to get me to a surgery date. Tony and Janell have answered all of my questions and fears no matter how small.
He and his office staff are nice and professional. I havent had my surgery yet so I will repost once I recover. My surgery is scheduled for 12/21/2006.rnrnI have my pre-op work on Tuesday, 12/19/2006.rnrnThe staff has been very helpful with the approval process. If you cant them on the phone, just keep trying back.rnrnSurgery went well and Dr. Moran was great. A little disenchanted with the day nurses at Franklin Regional, but the night nurses were on the ball!rnrn
Dr Moran is and was very professional! His first interest is his patients. He was very concerned that all of my testing was complete prior to my surgery, and that all of my 'ducks' were in a row.rnrnI had to call the day that I got home from surgery, and he was very attentive and answered all of my questions and concerns!!
My first impresion of Dr. Moran was great. He is a very confident doctor. He is strict but friendly with his patients to ensure the outcome of surgery. My impression has not changed. Both the doctor and the office staff was great! Very friendly, I felt like I was part of their little family, it was a small group of people not a big place where you wonder if they really know you are there. Dr. Moran and his staff are great! They emphasize about the whole procedure, the steps for pre-req, they helped me get my previous medical history, answered all my e-mails. Right away I was given all of the aftercare instructions. I was in their office for a couple of hours, they talked with me about the different options, I watched a video, they answered all my questions went over my medical conditions with me. Overall I would rate them a 10 (from the 1-10 scale).rnrnI am looking forward to my surgery in January.
My first impression of Dr. Moran is that he was great. Informative and professional. Any time I had to go into his office he greeted me and spent time with me answering any of my questions. Over time my impression of him has gotten better. He's incredible and the best. His office staff are wonderful. Janell P. especially. She worked hard to get me on the table when I wanted and did not seem frustrated with my zillion calls or questions. Future patients should expect a great experience from Dr. Moran and his staff. His emphasis on aftercare is phenomenal. He addressed all surgery risks and invited me to his support group. I rate him 10 out of 10 and his surgical competence and bedside manner are impeccable. With such a serious procedure I can't imagine having gone to anyone else.
My initial impression of Dr. Moran is that he is very honest and up front with EVERYTHING. He doesnt sugar coat anything. My impression hasnt really changed about him, I like the fact that he is very open and honest with you from the beginning. His bedside manner is very professional and that means a lot to me!! His office staff is wonderful, everyone is very friendly and accomodating. I have never been to a Dr.'s office that offers you free bottled water. Dr. Moran addresses ALL aspects of the surgery in a complete and concise manner. He also encourages questions. Overall he is a great surgeon and I look foward to continue working with him in the future.
Dr Moran was very specific about the risk of what could happen with the surgery and the risk of what could happen. He was and is very concerned about how I do and that I stick to the diet that goes along with having the surgery. His secretary Jannell is very good at what she does and very friendly. I really feel like I'm welcome in the office when I come in there in the Louisburg office. Dr. Moran let me know it was going to be a struggle to get the weight off but it would take time.rn So if I were to recommend a physician for the surgery it would be Dr. Moran. If I had it to do all over again I would and with the same dr. If there is anyone who wants my oppinion on this they are more than welcome to email me. Samuel Miller
My first impression of Dr. Moran was that he reminded me of the HBO series, The Sopranos. Once we began talking, I began to feel very comfortable with asking him anything. He also is extremely intelligent and he's someone that a comfortable rapport can easily be developed with. (And he's also very handsome!)rnrnFuture patients should know that he is concise, direct and a \"no holds barred\" kind of guy. So, if you're not really ready for the absolute truth in terms of complication possibilities and other health issues, then you may need to brace yourself as he's gonna give it to you straight.rnrnKeep in mind that these are my personal opinions and that I just happen to be very opinionated!
I like the way he communicates. He seems to be straight forward and gives clear information about what to expect. I also feel confident that he knows what he's doing and that I will be in capable and skillful hands.
I was impressed with the fact that he put a stong emphasis on the importance of aftercare which I know is key to success with this life-changing tool of WLS.
