I met Dr Grant yesterday. He has the most wonderful bed side manner. His entire staff was helpful and informative.
He reviewed every aspect of the surgery with me. He ask me question concerning the surgery
to make sure I understood everything.
He has staff for every area of pre-op and post op. You are introducted to everyone and have a one on one session with them.
I thank GOd I could not have made a better choice.

Dr Gtant was in obesity surgery for over
20 years. He had stop doing the surgery years ago because he was not please with the results patients were having with the surgeries that were avaliable than. He said that the long term numbers were not good.
Until Dr ? at East Carolina Unv. Improved nand pioneered the rny. That it has a very impressive numbers for sucess rate and 14 year of data to support it.
This is my pre-op evaluation I will post again as a post-op

I have not actually met with Dr. Grant yet. I have spoken with him and his staff over the phone. I will be going for my pre-op. in September. I will update my information at that time.

I had my visit with Dr.Grant.He was very to the point. He let you know the complications and he explained the precedure very well. He answered any questions anyone had and did not try to cover up anything. I was very pleased with him. He seem to have a concern for obese people. They have a nutrientist that goes through your the different stages of your surgery. You must she her whenever you go to your after care visits. You can also call, page, or email Him or his staff at anytime. I like having someone to go through the different eating patterns. Overall I really do think that Dr.Grant and his staff are going to be very good to work with.

My first impression of Dr. Grant was of a kind understanding man. My second meeting with him reinforced my good feelings toward Dr. Grant. Dr. Grant's staff are the best. They have at every contact gone out of their way to helpful. I think they are like most surgons staff, "over worked", but that has not stopped them from giving everything I have ask for and more. Dr. Grant lets you know he will be there to do his part but he expects you to do your part. Both Dr. Grant and his staff spend a lot of time talking about care after surgery. I am pleased with well structured aftercare program. The only thing I found I did not like is the lack of a support group. However, I am told that so many patients have requested one, that a support group may be comming soon. Overall I would rate Dr. Grant and his staff as the best.

My one conversation with Dr. Grant was pleasant and informative. Office staff is pleasant, but there was a problem with my labs, ect being lost and requiring my sending them again. His secretary did not seem to be overly concerned about the inconveince. It was worked out quickly and my date was set, so all's well that ends well. I'll let you know post op how things work out. I live five hours from Duke, and will be staying with relatives in the area.

My first impression of Dr. Grant was very favorable as I found him extremely easy to converse with about my medical issues and personal questions. His bedside manner is beyond reproach. His staff is helpful and nurturing. He insist his patients remain in touch with him for a year through office visits and remain in touch with his staff nutritionist. I have had minimal pain/discomfort with no complications. I highly recommend his surgical services and his after surgery care program.
