I first met Dr. Juarez at his seminar at St. Luke's Hospital, in Phoenix, on September 12, 2003. I liked him right away. He has a dry sense of humor and he's very down to earth. What impressed me most about Dr. Juarez is his LOVE of doing surgery. He chose this profession because he LOVES what he does. That alone confirmed to me, that he was the surgeon I was looking for.
He's very BUSY, but he takes time with you and answers every question. He NEVER makes you feel that your question is stupid, and he never lets on that he has already answered this very same question 20 times that day.
On the day of the seminar, he told the group -- there were over 200 people in attendance, that this surgery procedure was risky and one of us wouldn't make it through. That was the statistic. 1 in 200. I remember everyone looking around the room, and probably thinking to themselves, "Which one of us is the ONE?" That wasn't going to scare me from having the surgery done. I wasn't REALLY living at that point. I just wanted a NEW chance at life. Thanks to Dr. Juarez. I got it!
If I have a problem, I call his office and someone is ALWAYS willing to talk to me. I've never had a problem with his staff.
I love Dr. Juarez. I trust him completely. In my opinion, he's the world's BEST surgeon.
The only negative experience I've had was with St. Luke's Hospital. I understand it's an old hospital, but they could keep the hospital rooms cleaner; especially the bathrooms.

First Imperssion: I met him at my seminiar. Seemed like a good doctor with very good imformation to give his upcoming patients.
I feel happy that I picked him. Even though up until my date of surgery I had only seen and spoken with him 2 times all I heard was that he was a quit man but the BEST!!
Staff was get even though I did get more help from Pat instead of Diane. Diane was always busy and if I needed answers I just asked for Pat.
I was so happy with Dr. Juarez nothing to dislike. My insurance covered on Dr. Juarex not any other Dr. and it didnt matter cause I was happy with Dr. Juarez, I did meet all the other doctors and they are also great as well.
He is very busy. There is no way that patients get into a surgery with him right away it does take time, if you go with the other doctors they are a little more flexibility.
He emphasizes alot! He let me know what I needed to do and gives you a information packet on what to do and what to look for in you surgery care.
yes read above.
You ask the question he will address it, lol, like any surgery there is also RISKS he will tell you that no matter what.
Rate" 10!!!!
Both are great but for me I went in on Thursday and saw him thursday and friday but he had the weekend off so thats how I met the other wonderful doctors then he came back on monday to see his patients.

Dr. Juarez is a very skilled and talented surgeon. He's technical knowledge is fantastic. His office staff leaves much to be desired. The program at St. Lukes that he works with is one of the most comprehensive around, including before and after care at no additional cost.
Dr. Juarez's surgical competence is much better than his bedside manner which was find with me, I wanted a technically skilled surgeon, not a best friend.

Dr. Juarez was very personable and highly qualified to perform gastric bypass surgery. I was surprised when he asked me what I was doing there, but realized afterward that was his way of joking and showing his sense of humor. His office staff has been helpful in keeping me informed regarding where they are in processing all of my paperwork.
