he was verry busy
He is a wonderful surgeon
I liked some of the staff however he has so many patients it felt like I was being hearded through.
I liked Dr. Jaurez alot
that he along with his staff are super busy so dont expect alot of attention. plan on researching alot yourself, and he is booked out so far it takes a long time to get in to see him
He did not emphasize after care.
he has a program and I called to talk to the dietician several times with no return call.
I would rate Dr. Jaures great. His program Horrible
Surgical compitence and bedside manner are equally important to me.
I liked Juarez OK. His assistant Emile, I really like, though. The office is very busy so you might have to stay on them, especially if you're an out of towner who has to call in long distance and wait for them to get back to you.
Technically, I think Juarez is one of the best people to go to as he's been doing this operation for quite a while (5 or 6 years), has seen thousands of patients and has a very low mortality rate. He is the doctor who trained the doctors who now do it in Tucson.
Not a lot of aftercare for out of towners, but most people find the most support at that point from local support groups anyway.
All in all, I got good service from Juarez and his assistant.
I met with Dr. Juarez on June 21st. I found him to be extremely friendly and had a great sense of humor. I really liked him. My appt. was at 9:30 and I think I got in around 10:15. It is a very busy office, but if you go into knowing that, then it isn't so bad. Plus, I figured I waited 2 1/2 months to see Dr. Juarez, I didn't care how long I had to spend sitting in the waiting area! I found all of the staff at the office to be super nice. Even though he was busy, I felt that Dr. Juarez took the time to answer my questions and he put me at ease. I had a very good experience. Now, with all that said, I have decided to to to
Dr. Fang for my surgery. Dr. Juarez mentioned that depending on my schedule, I could get into Dr. Fang sooner. I have heard good things about Dr. Fang and I have confidence in him. My surgery will probably be in late Aug., so I will get to meet Dr. Fang at that time. The best advice I can give is to go in with a positive attitude, realizing that there is probably going to be a wait and just be glad you are finally there! Also, I would suggest bringing along a book or magazine as the office does not have any. Overall, great experience!
My frist impression of Dr.Juarez was that he was very busy but knew his stuff. He let me ask all the questions I wanted and answerd them well. His staff was helpful in the months that followed tring to get insuranse aprovel. He very strongly emphasizes after care. The program is also structured consisting of nutrition, psych, physical and emotinal aspects of surg.I would rate him 8 out of 10.
He doesn't look like a DR.
He is very knowldgeable, and has been doing this for a long time.
Very respectful and are will to help in any way.
I have heard his bed side manner is not the greatest.
Strongly
no
I attended a seminar in which questions were asked and answered, personalized questions were answered in the office visit.
I am inpressed.
I do not know about his bedside manner, I think both are great to have.
I first met Dr. Juarez at the group seminar. He came late and left early. He seemed to answer everyones questions though. He seems very competent but does not spend much time with you. I spent MAYBE 5 minutes with him on the day of my consult, which is fine I guess. I saw him in May of 2003 and scheduled my surgery for December. I did not see him again until the morning of my surgery. The office staff.....well, it is soooo hard to get through to anyone there. They have an automated telephone system, which I hated. I felt like we were playing phone tag alot. I did not get to be involved in the aftercare program because my insurance did not cover it. I disagree with this. I think everyone should be involved regurdless. I feel Dr. Juarez is competant and I know alot of people say he has poor bedside manner. I think he is a fine man that is just a little overworked and spreads himself a little too thin. He is short quick and to the point, which works well for me!
Dr. Juarez has a wonderful bed side manner that you don't find in many doctors these days.
His knowledge base of this surgery is awesome.
The office staff is friendly and knowledgeable.
He emphasizes this a lot.
Yes
Was upfront about complications during and after the surgery.
1-10, 10 being the best then a 10.
both were great
<P Align="left">My first impression of Dr. Juarez was a good one. He displayed himself to have good bedside manners. He was VERY Busy and seemed very popular. His office staff were the best. They helped me SO much. Angelia and Diane were so helpful and never made me feel like I was bugging them and returned my phone calls promptly. Dr. Juarez makes you complete certain things before he will perform surgery, which I like because it makes it easier on everyone - he know more about you and you learn a lot more about your decision....
