Dr. Dabideen seemed like a very caring and knowledgable surgeon. He is soft spoken but exudes confidence. As time has gone on I have learned more about Dr. Dabideen from his patients. I have not heard anything but good things about Dr. Dabideen and his caring manner.

The Office staff at Hurley Center for Comprehensive Weight Loss seemed very friendly and were more than happy to answer any questions that I had. They really seemed knowledgable and concerned about my health and welfare.

There was nothing that I didn't like about Dr. Dabideen. I think his future patients should know that he is also the head of the trama center at Hurley, which lets me know that he would be prepared for any problems that might occur with the procedure.

Hurley does strongly emphasize aftercare (it can make the difference between success and failure). I'm not familiar with their aftercare program, but I do hear from other patients that it is helpful and comprehensive.

Dr. Dabideen did alert me to the risks of the surgery (afterall each person is different).

As far as I am concerned I have complete confidence in Dr. Dabideen and his team.

I think a well rounded doctor should possess both a good bedside manner and excellent surgical competence. I feel that Dr. Dabideen possesses both of these necessary qualities.

These impressions that I have about Dr. Dabideen are strictly my own impressions. I have met him only once so far, and have no really negative things to say about the center thus far.

Dr Dabideen is very thorough. He was very nice and took time to explain everything to my husband and I. I did feel that my initial consultation was a little scary, as he was very real and did not sugar coar anything! I have only seen him for my initial consult, and was a little dismayed that in their system, they have to make special arrangments if you want to have another visit. Instead, I went to my PCP, Dr Kiran (THE BEST!!!) and he made me feel so much better!

I feel that the aftercare program seems very doable! Also, they have a great staff of dieticians, nurses, and support groups, to help make this journey successful!

Very kind. Continued throughout stay in hospital. Hospital staff very caring. Whole unit was bariatric patients. You will be getting up the evening of surgery or the next morning. They really push walking immediately as well as the "smile" breathing contraption. Please take deep breaths even though it hurts badly the first couple of days. I didn't and 3 days later my lungs started to collapse. I was in the hospital for a week. A normal surgery with no complications, has a hospital stay of 4 days. Again, the hospital staff was excellent thru my entire stay. Dr Dabideen is one of the top 10 drs for bariatric in the United States.

Very personable and highly qualified

It hasn't changed

Courteous and helpful. He has a competent medical staff that he works with and I appreciated all of them for the job they did.

Nothing

He will tell you the truth and he only wants what is best for you

He's very thourough in aftercare and he montiors your bloodwork and you levels and makes sure everything is in order and if it's not he will tell you what you need to do rectify the situation.

He was very detailed in the fact this ws a major surgery and that there were risks involved in any surgery but he has been doing this surgery for a long time and had done numerous surgeries and that he would be assisted by another well qualified surgeon and it ws his goal to bring me through the surgery without any problems.

Excellent, he is highly respected in the surgery world here in Flint, Michigan.

Both are very important to me and I had both in Dr. Dabideen

Dr. Dabideen is very up front. But he is very caring. His office staff is great. What did I like best about him...? His eyes..You can see the compassion in them..You know he cares. At first meeting he sat me down and with not bars hold--told me the risk. I have asked around other doctors and they have told me he is the *best*. That means a lot that he has the respect of the medical profession. My sister works out of a Pontiac Hospital he is also known there, with great respect.

I went to my first consultation in May 2004. I was so nervous, but Dr. Dabideens staff put me at ease in no time. The office was very comfortable and the atmoshpere was friendly. The dietician I met with was very helpful in describing my dietary needs prior to surgery as well as post-op. I also met with a Bariatric Counselor and she was so upbeat and fantastic. She radiated a positive outlook and that really helped me to relax. Dr. Dabideen was very nice. He explained in detail the surgical options and encouraged me to ask any questions that I might have. I felt he was very up front and forward with the pros and cons of the surgery. My sister was with me and she was very nervous about me undergoing the surgery until she met with him. I am confident about having the surgery now and I have every faith and confidence in Dr. Dabideen.

I liked Dr. Dabideen very much, he was very informative. no. His staff is very friendley and explained things I wanted to know. No, answer I liked him. He talked a lot about aftercare and the problems we may have if we don't listen. yes. He talked a lot about the risks of surgery but it's better to know than wonder about all the queastions running in everyones head. I rate him veery well. Both are great in a Doctor and you have to have confidence in him. Karen Brunett

He was very professional and very up front. I am curious what his beside manner will be, but all tht really matters is that he is good at his job. Everyone at the Hurley Center has been wonderful!!
You do not see much of your surgeon after the surgery. You see the docter that they use to admit you and prescribe the medications.

My first impression was that Dr. Dabideen was very professional experienced, and knowledgeable. He also has a good sense of humor. He is a very busy surgeon but takes the time to answer all questions. My suggestion is take a list of questions and another person with you on your intial consultation. I recommend Dr. Dabideen, not only because of his skill as a bariatric surgeon but because he is compassionate and willing to work with his patients. Dr. Dabideen emphasizes aftercare right from the first consult. He is very open about talking about the risks of bariatric surgery. Hurley Center for Comprehensive Weight Loss' staff is friendly and helpful; however, sometimes making contact, especially with the nutritionist, could use some improvement. Also, after arrival for appointments, be prepared to wait an extra 45 min. - 1 hr. The program appears to be going through some growing pains, as more and more patients are choosing Hurley. The aftercare program is good. They provide support and education. On a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the highest, I would rate Dr. Dabideen a 10.
