Dr. Dabideen is one of the most caring surgeons it has been my pleasure to know. I'm an R.N. @ Hurley Medical Center, in Flint. Dr. Dabideen is a surgeon @ McLaren Hospital, in Flint. I left the comfort of my hospital to go to Dr. Dabideen, even though Hurley has one of the top bariatric surgeons aroung, Obied. I can not say enough wonderful thing about Dr. Dabideen.
Dr. Dabideen did an excellent job with my gastric bi-pass surgery and a year later when he removed my spleen and gall-bladder. He was nice and caring. The aftercare was taken care of with the bariatric center.
When I had the second surgery I had to go to his office. The wait was horrindous, but that seems to be the way it is in many doctor's offices. I would go to him again if I needed surgery!
I met with Dr Dabideen for the first time on march 2 2006. he is very nice and really listens. He was very direct and patient, taking the time to answer all my questions, and soothe my fears. He is also doing my husband Craig's surgery and we are both thrilled with him. If I had to sum up the good Doc in three words they would have to be
(1)kind (2) patient and (3) knowledgable. he is most awsome.
Dr. Dabideen was very friendly and knowledgable in our first meeting. Even though I had to wait in the office for 2 hours before my appointment, he took his time with me and answered all my questions. My surgery date has been set, and I trust that Dr. Dabideen knows what he is doing. He has performed over a thousand bariatric surgeries and has a very high success rate.
Dr. Dabideen was a really nice guy with great bed side manner. The staff at The Hurly Center For Comprehensive Weightloss is also great, very knowlegeable of what was going on. However the nurses I delt with after my sugery at the hospital it's self varied from day to day. Some of the nurses were great. Others wern't so great.
When I first met Dr. Dabideen he seemed very polished, very business-like. I told him that my PCP didn't "approve" of bariatric surgery. I also told him that my PCP equated it to having an abortion. Dr. Dabideen said, "Why because your killing fat?" I laughed so hard. He smiled. He seemed very personable for a surgeon. I am not looking for a song and dance, I want a good surgeon but a man with a sense of humor goes a long way.
I am still getting through tests, I have my last one tonight...the dreaded sleep study. I am NOT looking forward to this. Once that is done, I have two pieces of paper to get and they will schedule my surgery date. I will let you know more about my surgeone as I go along.
Dr Dabideen was an awesome surgeon, completing my surgery 12/17/03 in under an hour including an umbilical hernia repair. What a fantastic professional. He came by to see me at the end of a VERY LONG day to check on how I was doing. Very kind and considerate and very competent yet humble. He does not "show an attitude" and is very caring. You won't be in better hands than with him. I am thrilled and have lost 165 pounds. He is all that everyone said and more. I owe him my life and I will be forever grateful.
