VERY GOOD SAFE AND THAT HE WAS KNOWLEDGEABLE AND THAT HE CARED ABOUT HELPING THE OBESITY WITH NO PREDJUICE A REAL DOWN TO EARTH GUY NOTHING CHANGED I COULDNT WAIT FOR HIM TO WORK ON ME ALWAYS THERE ON THE SPOT WITH ANSWERS AND PAPER WORK NOTHING I LOVED ALLTHAT HE FEEDS THIRD WORLD COUNTRIES ON HIS FREE TIME NO CHARGE FROM THE HEART JUST A GOOD GUY HE'S AWLAAYS UNDERSTANDING HE SMALL BUT HE FEELS THE LARGE PERSON FEELINGS NO STRUCTURES FOR ME AT ALL EXPLAINED THEM ALL VERY WELL 110% DR I WOULD DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN WITH IF NEEDED SURGICAL COMPETENCE WAS 150% BEDSIDE MANNER MY THREE DAYS IN JUST A LITTLE FAST BUT HE VERY BUSY I KNOW
I met Dr. Slotman on 2/26/02 for my 1st consult. He was running behind schedule and very late, but after we talked for a spell, I understood why. He took his time to answer all of the questions that you may have! No wonder the wait was long. How could I complain when he was so thorough?
I felt very comfortable in his presence. He's very witty and has a sense of humor. Like he says..."When you look good, I look good."
His office staff was very nice. Shirley also answers your questions even though she may have answered them 100 times that same day.
It was very refreshing to see a Dr. that treated you with respect. Dr. Slotman and his staff get a A+ from me.
I was nervous and I felt that he answered my questions and my husbands . But he really didn't talk to me that much. I felt like every question I had he looked at my husband and gave him the answers. My husband told me cause I kept looking at him ( hubby )for all the answers cause I was nerous so the doctor might have thought he was listening better . And the truth be told he was . My husband liked him even though my husband wasnt to keen on this surgery but the doctor reunsured him.We also talked about the what if's and I knew most of them . And as for his office everyone was so sweet and so kind even when I might be driving them nuts with all my calling but I am sure that I am not the only one that calls. There is a question here that asks how do you rate the doctor . Well, lets just say my rate for him must be high cause I want him to do my surgery.
My first impression of him was very positive. During my consult, he did not make me feel rushed and made sure he answered all my questions. I did not feel any pressure to have the procedure done. He was very good and wanted me to make sure this was what I wanted.
I liked Dr. Slotman as soon as I met him. He seemed quite down to earth and all business like on my first appointment with him back in January 02. On my second consult which was a few days ago he was still very professional going over how the operation was preformed, but later when he was taking a photo of me and other postop patients were around he was quite friendly and jovial. The other posties informed me he is great and has a good bedside manner. His office staff are all very friendly and informative. And the office returns calls immediately. I will update later after the surgery on July 15, 2002.
He was very informative and very nice, made me feel very comforable and confident in my choice of a surgeon.
My surgeon is very informative and has an air of competancy without looking down at you. His office personel are very nice and easy to work with. He also looks like a cartoon character but is a fine surgeon. Plus he likes boating as I do.
HE WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND OPEN HANDED PERSON I FEEL VERY COMFORTABLE WITH NOTHIHG CHANGED ABOUT HIM VERY HELPFUL STAFF FIRST NAME BASIS NOTHING REALLY HE TOOK 45MINS WITH ME AND I THOUGHT THAT MORE TIME THEN WAS NEEDED HAVENT HAD MY SECOND VISIT YET I WILL BE GOIND 2/28 TO SIGN CONSENT I FEEL I'M GETTING SO CLOSE TO A NEW LIFE AND I DOMT EXCUSE TI HARD WORK OR PAIN I JUST READY MENTALLY I QUIT SMOKING 3MTHS AGO TO PREPARE MY LUNGS FOR THIS MAJOR CHANGE IN LIFE THE RISK ARE ADDRESS BUT MAYBE ON MY NEXT VISIT HE WILL PUSH MORE ON THOSE FACTORS I WOULD RATE HIM A 9 RIGHT NOW BECAUSE HE HAS NOT CUT ON ME YET CHECK BACK IN APRIL WHEN I'M OVER A BIG HUP I ONLY FEEL THE SURGICAL COMPETENCE HE FEELS VERY SURE BUT NOT OVER SURE THAT HE KNOW WHAT HE IS DOING
My first impression of Dr Slotman was one of complete calm. When I went for my original consult I was a bag of nerves and his manner of speaking and just all around aura totally eased my mind. His staff is especially helpful and patient, I had some problems with my job-getting appts approved under FMLA and they really helped clear everything up quickly. I would definitely recommend Dr Slotman to anyone considering this surgery.
