1st impression: very educated and cared significantly about his patient population. rnrnover time: impression got stronger, he was an excellent doctor who took the extra time to make sure there weren't any complications. rnrnThe office staff was great and very helpful. I did have a problem with one of the nurses post-op though. I felt like she was trying to keep me drugged. She was very short and somewhat rude. The rest of the nurses were awesome. rnrnI honestly can't say anything that I liked least about my surgeon. rnrnHe is brutally honest, and very caring. He is serious about his job and his patient population. rnrnThis facility teaches, teaches, and then re-teaches post-op care. It is great. They also leave you with many phone numbers for resources at all times of the day or night. rnrnThere are group meetings that are encouraged for aftercare. rnrnThe risks were scary, but clearly laid out!rnrnHe was an excellent physician. I would do it all over again and only with him as my surgeon. rnrnI think both surgical competence and besdide manner are important for optimal patient outcomes. Surgical competence was great, he even removed a hernia that I had no idea was there. Bedside manner is also important for those emotional days that follow. Dr. rnWeiss was great, I couldn't have asked for anyone better. I would highly recommend his services to anyone who asked!rn

Dr.Weiss is very nice with a sense of humor. He is very thorough, explain every detail that he will preform, and take the time to listen and answer all questions.rn It hasn't so far,he was wonderful from start to finish.rn The office staff is very professional, some are more personal than others.rn I didn't have any problems with any of the office staff.rn Future patients should go into this procedure with a positive outlook, listen to what is being said and ask plenty of questions.rn Thru-out the whole training program every detail is discussed over an over.rn Yes, and you are given a sheet with step by step instructions on it with several phone numbers to call if you have any problems or questions. They also schedule you for a discharge class before leaving the hospital.rn It was discussed in your training class before surgery,it is mentioned in your packet you recieve and it is discussed in your personal book you recieve inside your bag.rn I would rate the whole staff a 10,above average in every detailrn Both was super.rn The only negative experience I had thru-out my whole experience was with the RN(Jill) in preping me for surgery. She was very harsh and yelled at me for no reason. This was unecessary for someone to go thru this rightrnbefore surgery.

My first impression of Dr Weiss was OMG how can someone that gorgeous possibly relate to me? I was self conscious for about 1 minute and then Dr Weiss completely put me at ease. I did not once feel like I was being judged by my weight the way most doctors make me feel. The entire team in Georgetown Kentucky is first class. I felt completely at ease with what I was about to undertake.rnDr Weiss's compassion, expertise and bedside manner make him unsurpassable in my opinion.

I loved everything about Bluegrass Baratics & Dr. Weiss. He took all the time I needed to ask questions & he brought up things I hadn't thought of. He had a detailed diet that worked for me so I knew what to expect in the comming weeks. During surgery he was prompt, professional, & carring & it continues today. I highly recomend him & his staff.

My first impression of my surgeon was that he really knew what he was talking about. He made me feel relaxed. His office staff was wonderful. Everyone was very helpful and made you feel welcome. They took the time to explain everything that would be happening before and after the surgury. I could not have asked for a better experience.

First impressionwas very good. He was doing a general seminar on bariatric surgery. Dr Weiss / Oldham are both wonderful surgeons. Their staff is always polite and helpful. I was very satisfied with all the pre-op, operative & post op care. All aspects were explained in detail. No surprises or disappointments.rnOverall rating is very good. I will & have recommended others to the center. If I had to do it again i would do it without hesitation.rnI gueuss if there is a negative side to all of this it is that it takes a while to get \"fills\" adjustments to the band. THe office is very busy and I feel they may need more staff to handle the increasing numbers of patients.

Dr. Weiss and Oldham at Georgetown ky are the best! They are the most caring doc's I've met. I have gotten to know them over past 2yrs since my husband then myself and this week my 14yr old dg had wgt loss surgery at georgetown. They and thier office staff are professional and very caring. What I like best is their willingness to take care of you after surgery. So many people from other hospitals have told me when they had problems their md wasn't concerned and told them to go to local ER. Well 1 week after RNY I had pain and had a cat scan and was admitted for observation. My doctors were in FLorida for an inservice and Dr. Weiss flew back to read cat scan and see me at 11:30pm. They believe in after care so much that their office facilitates support groups and on line support. I was well informed before surgery of risk and even had to pass a written test so they knew I understood. I would rate md's ,their staff and georgetown hospital 10 out of 10. Both doc's have excellent bedside manner and surgical skill.

Doctor Weiss was an excellent surgeon to be a patient of. Dr. Weiss was very informative and answered all questions that I had, as well as working with me for all of my requests. The surgery itself (Bypass) was minimally invasive with very little pain and was over with in no time. Dr. Weiss' bedside manner, as well as surgical compentence are both excellent. I would recommend Dr. Weiss to anyone considering either the Band or Bypass. On a scale of 1-10, I would give Dr. Weiss a 10+. Thank you for changing my life, Dr.

Dr Weiss is a caring person as well as a surgeon. When I had my surgery in August he wanted to make sure that I understood the procedure completely and that I was completely sure that this is the surgery that I wanted. After our first consultation, I trusted him completely. I trusted him so much that when my daughter had the surgery last week (March 29th) he was my only choice for her surgeon. He took extra care with her, which I greatly appreciated. I would recommend him to anyone that is considering weight loss surgery.

Dr. Weiss was very warm and caring, especially in the pre-op office visit. He took his time, and carefully explained the procedure, and answered any questions that I had. I didn't, truthfully, have many questions at that point, because the Bluegrass Bartiatric Office staff is such a well organized unit, and there were plenty of pre-op education classes that I attended before meeting with the surgeon. Afer-care, risks, etc. were fully explained and discussed. He was wonderful and has a great bedside manner (although in answer to the last question, surgical compentence is INFINITELY more important than bedside manner). Dr. Weiss' records of success, and his impressive credentials upon research were the primary reasons that I selected Bluegrass Bariatrics. The fact that he seems to be a genuinely caring and nice person was icing on the cake.
