Ernest Rehnke Bariatric Surgeon M.D.,F.A.C.S.

Dr Rehnke is a God Send. He has been so supportive throughout the past year. You could never ask for better bedside manners! My only concern was that although his Nurse, Julie, handled my hospital release, I did not see Dr Rehnke after my surgery or prior to my departure at the hospital. All of my follow up appointments have been on time and he is always willing to take the time to answer any questions.

i was Refered to Dr Rehnke From a Close Friend Who Works in Palms of Pasadena Hospital. rnWhen i met Him he Seemed Nice Knolageable Honest and some one who Knows what they are doing. rnrn

My first impression of Dr. Rehnke was positive. He appeared to be caring, professional and extremely knowledgeable. His office staff was very helpful and went out of their way to see that my surgery was not delayed. Dr. Rehnke explained all the risks of a Lap-Band procedure. Overall I would rate Dr. Rehnke as excellent in all aspects.

He's very kind, and knowledgable. His office staff has been very helpful and friendly. The worst part is the drive to his office.

when i first met dr rehnke he was a very friendly gentleman,he was concerned,well dressed and a good looking doc.the office staff is excellent especially kelly she always kept a postive attitude i know i was going overboard pestering her.he specified the risk of the surgery very clear.my surgery isn't until nov 30th 2007 i pray to god above all goes well will let you know after the surgery wish me luck. today is 11/19/2007 only a week and 3days to go.

Doc Rehnke is wonderful, he is always sweet and kind. His staff is great. He gave me a new look at life.And i cant thank him or his staff enough.They are all great understanding people,who are willing to listen and help you at all times. They are all great. If i had to do it all over i would as long as Doc R is doing it. He is the BEST.

Wow, this is a doctor that really cares. Was my first impression of Dr Rehnke, he and his whole staff are very helpful and supportive... I would do this all over again, in a heartbeat... has long as Dr Rehnke was there to do my surgery... I have changed in so many ways since my surgery almost 2 yrs ago... I have been able to stop taking 6 of the medications I was on for years.. my diabetes has gone bye,bye.. loosing 158 lbs. will do wonders for a persons health.. physically and mentally.... Dr Rehnke teaches us that the surgery that he does is only a tool that we as patients have to learn how to work... and if we use the tool correctly then we will succeed with our surgery... rnIf any one is out there and looking for a surgeron, Dr Rehnke and staff are great and very caring.. they will make sure you understand and help you feel at ease about your descission to become healthier in your life.... rnGood luck and God Bless rnDr Rehnke is a wonderful surgeon and really cares about his patients... we have support group meetings monthly.. they are fun and helpful..

Dr. Ernest Rehnke is a truly wonderful surgeon. He takes the time to explain the procedure and answer any questions you have. He has a great bedside manner.....does a terrific job. Dr. R and his staff are the best in the area! Dr. R also always attends our monthly support group meetings and any other gatherings that we have. My surgery was in 2004 and I think I can only recall maybe two meetings he's missed since that time--pretty darn good record! He and his staff are caring and totally sincere! He tells it like it is and he really knows what he's talking about!

This man saved my life! He was the first medical professional with whom I felt comfortable talking about my weight issues, and the only one who didn't make me feel like I hadn't really tried during all those years and all those diets and regimens. rnrnHe empathized with me, gave me hope, educated me, and then gave me a tool that finally allowed me to become healthy and lose weight. He was caring, kind and never made me feel rushed, ever! He answered even my silliest questions and encouraged me all the way through the process. rnrnHe never shied away from sharing the risks of the surgery, and explained things to me in a manner that was understandable - I knew what I was getting into and what the risks were. I would give him a 10, but actually, he's more like a 15, because he is competent, kind, caring, and I feel like he is the reason that I'm not only alive today, but that he is the one who handed me the key to becoming the person I always wanted to be, but felt like too much of a failure to become. rnrnIt took me a long time to find Dr. Rehnke - I traveled across the state many times and know I chose the best doctor in the world. If you're serious about making a change, Dr. Rehnke will give you the tool - it's not an easy tool to learn to use, but it works when nothing else has and if I can do it, you can, too. rnrnEverything in life has changed for me for the better. I'm confident, not afraid of people, feel good and have energy I never had before. I finally like myself - what other doctor in the world can give you that kind of results? rnrnI know what you're looking for here is something negative to say about Dr. Rehnke, but you know what? I can't say anything negative - if you don't use the tool properly or if you're not committed to the big changes in your life, it's not the fault of the surgeon, it's your fault and you must take responsibility. WLS is NOT the easy answer, but for some of us, it is the ONLY answer that works.rn
