I had gastric sleeve surgery on July 17,2012 by Dr Li and have been doing great !! 32 lbs in 5 1/2 weeks...yay !!!!

I was very nervous and did a lot of research as to the surgeon who would perform the surgery . The most impressionable were the referrals from people that I knew and strangers that I would mention my interest in gastric surgery to. Every single person had something wonderful to say about Dr. Li and the surgery itself ( that was enough for me ).
I called Dr. Li's office and started my journey :-)

Dr. Li is so wonderful and surrounds herself with an incredible team . They are all so kind, professional, approachable, and caring. Dr. Li is very direct and honest about everything from her expectations to the patients expectations. My favorite part of my appointments with Dr. Li were the end when she says something positive and parts with a hug :-)

My first impression of Dr. Li was that she was a very caring and loving person who has a great deal of respect for her patients. She made me feel so at ease and so assured of the decision that I had made to have my weight loss surgery. She was always available to me and always took the time to make sure that I understood my surgery and was comfortable. On the day of my surgery I was extremely nervous but after talking to her I felt really relieved to be in her caring hands. She has the best bedside manner of any doctor that I have ever had. She was so loving and caring as to how you the patient was progressing during your recovery. She made sure all your questions were answered and that you understood every aspect of your care. Her office staff was helpful and respectful in making sure everything was in order before and after surgery. Her surgical competence and bedside manner are beyond measures. Im glad I made the decision and had her to help me along with my journey and would gladly recommend her to anyone who is looking into weight loss surgery.

Dr. Li is very friendly, professional and compassionate. Her staff is second to none, they make sure every precaution is met before your surgery. Dr. Li had me get a IVC filter before surgery as a precaution against blood clots, many other Doctors dont take that action, but Dr. Li wants to make sure everything is as safe as possible. My surgery went great, was back to work in 7 days and I am feeling great. I recommend Dr. Li and Sinai Hospital for your bariatric surgery, you wont be sorry.

Absolutly the best experience I ever could have hoped for under the circumstance of needing bariatric surgery. Dr. Li and her entire staff is supporting, caring and professional. I had my surgery on June 5th 2012, at the time I weighed 408 lbs, its been three weeks since I had sleeve surgery and I am at 362 on June 27th 2012. I was in the hospital 2 days and back to work in 7 days. I have had no complications and feel great, thanks to Dr. Christina Li and Sinia Hospital. I highly recommend Dr. Li and Sinia Hospital for Bariatric Surgery, you wont be disappointed.

Dr Li was terrific. She made me feel very comfortable right off the bat. She was also very informative, she made sure I knew exactly what was going on every step of the way.

I first heard about Dr. Li when she preformed non-weight loss surgery on my mom. My mom was so impressed with her that she then had the VSG by her. A year after my mom's surgery I had enough and called for my own appointment with Dr. Li. Thorough doesn't even begin to describe the work up she puts together. Her office is incredibly organized and helpful. So many times I like a physician only to find their office staff incompetent or rude. Not the case here!!

Dr. Li really listens and advocates for her patient. She understood from the begging that my ultimate goal for WLS was to improve my fertility and achieve a healthy pregnancy. I was pushing for a sleeve, but based on my history and the studies out there she suggested bypass at the time. Knowing I was hesitant about the RNY she personally called me a week later citing different studies she looked up regarding my case and fertility.

Upon going through rigorous and thorough testing it was discovered that I had another condition that prohibited me from having the VSG. I was devastated and scared by this new diagnosis. She took the time to comfort me and to call another specialist right then and there to discuss my case while I was in her office. A plan was devised and it was decided that I would be a perfect candidate for the RNY.

I had my surgery on 1/16/12 and I was amazed out how great I felt immediately after the surgery. I was up walking the halls that night. I was home the next evening and off all pain meds 2 days after that. I had my gallbladder out by a different surgeon in 2010 and I felt like I had been hit by a train for weeks afterwards. My husband was floored when a week after surgery I told him I went to the gym.

Even after surgery Dr. Li continues to focus on my end goal of achieving a healthy pregnancy. She has promised to support me in any way she can and will work closely with my OB when the time arises to ensure that me and my baby receive adequate nutrition.

I really can not say enough positive things about Dr. Li and her staff.

Well, I am a recent sleeve gastrectomy patient from January 19th, 2012. From the first day I started the program with Dr Li and Sinai, I knew I was where I was meant to be. For Dr Li, you can tell this is more than a "job". She is caring, yet firm when she needs to be. I am doing great and really attribute my current success to her skillful hands and encouraging words. Always willing to answer questions. Wants what's best for the health of her patients. Will kick your butt if you need it, but is rooting for your success!

Dr Li. made me fee comfortable from the seminar to the last time I saw her before surgery. I love that you get to meet her before or during your pre-op testing. During your meeting, you discuss with her your goals and she discusses with you your options based on your weight history. She allows you to make the decision, but provides feedback.
Her medical office staff is very helpful and provides answers timely.
I love that Dr. Li is very funny and open, yet very direct. She doesn't hold back when you need it. But her delivery is still warm. And at the end of every meeting with her she gives you a hug and assurance that you can do it and everything will be ok.

I am currently 6 weeks post surgery and I am down 50 pounds and feeling better than I have in 10 years. I chose the Vertical Sleeve procedure after Dr. Li thoroughly explained all of my options, risks and of course benefits. So far I couldn't be happier with my decision to trust Dr. Li and her staff.

Throughout the process of insurance approval I saw many many doctors, more than I care to list. Seeing this many doctors, made me truly appreciate the care and attention that Dr. Li provides. From the first day we met to my most recent appointment Dr. Li always parts ways with a hug and some kind words. I'm looking forward to the road ahead as well as a long lasting relationship with my surgeon Dr. Li.
