when I met the surgeon, I wasn't sure if I was going to like her, but she turned out to be super nice, knows what she is doing. Plus she has a sense of humor which I liked. She laid it all out did not hemhaw around about it. she emphasized aftercare... she told us all about the risked and that she has done over 800 surgerys and only 2 has passed away. not bad odds, better then the national odds. That really made me feel a lot better. I received the letter to mail to insurance w/in 2 weeks of seeing her, now it is a waiting game.

'I really love Dr. Cacucci already

I was very uncertain about Dr. Cacucci the first time I met her. She is tall, very thin and I thought way too young to have enough experience in bariatric surgery and too thin to have any empathy for the morbidly obese. She seemed very businesslike too. However, after asking several questions during the initial consultation and then more in our 1:1 meeting I began to change my attitude. She has done more than 1,000 lap RNY's and has a very low complication rate. She is compassionate and caring too. Dr. Cacucci is a highly skilled surgeon who takes her profession seriously. She expects her patients to treat their new pouch with respect and emphasizes the need for aftercare. Overall, she is an excellent bariatric surgeon. If you're looking for someone to coddle you thru the process she's not for you. If you want someone to take good care of you and expect you to follow her advice then Dr. Cacucci is your doctor.

I felt very comfortable with her pre-op and still do today. The staff is friendly and I have not had any problems with the office. Aftercare is very important and the program is structured and it is made very clear that you are expected to follow it to the letter. The risks are clearly outlined and you have to sign papers that list the risks. I think she is excellent. She is a very competent surgeon with a wonderful bedisde manner.

Dr. caccuci is great! Some of her office staff is hard to deal with though. You have to make a pest out of yourself to get them to help you with the insurance.

Dr Cacucci was a godsend. I appreciated her thoroughness and the way she appeared to be genuinely concerned about the outcome of the surgery and my new life. She seems to be a no nonsense kind of doctor and if you are not ready to do as she says, then you might want to wait on surgery. Her staff is professional and very well organized. I had a great experience dealing with all of them.

I really like Dr. Cacucci. She is kind of quiet but very personable at the same time. She has a big smile every time I see her and always very nice and friendly just in a quiet way. Everyone in her office is great, especially Heather when I was getting everything scheduled and so forth. They always call you back and answer any questions you have. She was great in the initial consult explaining everything from risks/benefits to complications, etc and seemed very knowledgeable. I was confident having her perform my surgery. The surgery only took about 1hr and she must have done a great job because I have not had any surgery problems so far. When I was in the hospital and my drain was causing pain she figured out the culprit quickly and easily, removed the drain and the pain was gone. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a great bariatric surgeon.

Great Dr. I would recommend anyone in the area to use her. Sometimes the office is behind. But I guess you have that any Dr. office. Front desk was bad about informing waiting patients that the Dr. had an emergency and that was why she was running late.

When I scheduled my consultation I thought that I was seeing Dr. Gupta. A friend of mine has chosen her and so I thought it would be nice to go through this together. However, when I got there I learned that I was seeing Dr. Cacucci. I thought about rescheduling but since I had driven 3 hours I was going to stay and listen. I was very impressed with Dr. Cacucci right from the start. She takes what she does very serious. She is very well educated in her area of WLS. She was very open with the complications and risks involved with WLS. Along with stressing that this is a life changing decision that must be followed seriously. When I arrived home I instantly started reading Dr. Cacucci's profile along with other information from members regarding her. I feel totally at ease with Dr. Cacucci being the one to perform my WLS. I am anxiously awaiting my call from Heather for a surgery date now!

Dr. Cacucci is a very caring doctor. I felt totally at ease with her the first time I met her. When she asks me how I'm feeling, she seems to want to know about me not only physically but mentally. She does have a regimen for aftercare such as ensuring you go to the dieticians. My only thought is I would like to see more lab testing done to monitor mineral and vitamin levels more then one time per year. She is a very professional doctor!
