Dr. Rose is hands down the absolute best. I wouldnt have let anyone else perform my surgery--and I did lots of research. My respect for her and her staff continues to grow as I approach my 8 month post op. Her staff is helpful, caring and professional--they care about each and every patient. Dr. Rose is very thorough and very professional but also has a great bedside manner and she really listens to everything that you tell her. Her aftercare program is excellent and she and her staff are there to answer any and all questions that you might have. Dr. Rose is a top notch surgeon--very very educated in this procedure and she has the experience and the stats to back it up--. I honestly cant say enough good things about Dr. Rose and her staff. If you are considering this surgery and live in the MS are I think that you would be doing yourself a disservice if you did visit Dr. Rose and her staff (by the way, her staff includes Ms Judy and Ms Britney--the best!) for a consultation. She is a wonderful doctor and a wonderful human being as well.
***Please keep in mind that this has been my personal experience--I cannot guarantee or predict what the experience might be like for anyone else.****

my first impression of dr. rose was that she was the most calming dr i had ever seen. she has a way of calming u with just the tone of her voice. i relyed on that right up into the or. she is wonderful.
my impression just impressed over time. when i went for my pre op tests she met with me before i was done. i had a list of questions and she didnt hesitate on one. she answered them all with that calming effective voice and manner of hers.
her office staff is wonderful. judy is great and who u see most of right before and after surgery. anytime u have a question all u have to do is call the office and someone will answer u and they encourage u to call with any question they have.
anyone should know if u decide to use her u are in the best hands.
she is very attimate on aftercare. it is so important not only for health but for support.
dr rose's aftercare is very structured.
she went over every risk of surgery with me more than once. she just wants u to be aware because it is her job. the risks really are very rare. ive had no problems.
i would rate dr. rose a 10.
she is wonderful in her surgical competence and her bedside manner. she is more like a close friend than a doctor.

AWSOME AWSOME. WHAT ELSE IT THIER TO SAY!! GOD BLESS HER!!!!!!!!! SHE GAVE ME BACK MY LIFE.

On the very first meetings with Dr. Rose, Dr. Howard, Brian, Judy and Brittany I sensed a very relaxed, informal, and friendly atmosphere. Everyone there, patients and staff, seemed happy and almost care-free. This was different to the hectic and fast paced office that I work at. Over the next few weeks, I saw glimpses of the pressure, stress, battles with insurance companies, non-stop action kind of stuff that I was used to. I was pretty impressed with the professional and businesslike way each situation was handled, and somehow they managed to blend the professional with the informal, the businesslike with the relaxed for a perfect combination that won my trust and confidence. Each of them was able to answer every question I had, regardless of whether it was clinical or administrative, which told me how much they care about what they are doing there. People who are just putting in time at a job, just put in time. People who love what they do put in their hearts along with their time, and you can measure how much a person cares about what they are doing by how much they have learned about it.
Surgery itself was exactly as had been explained to me, although I don't think it is possible to truly describe pain, and somehow I was shocked when I first woke up. I had to have known that it would hurt but I was not ready. The worst of it didn't last long though and I tried to be tough and brave when people were there. Dr. Rose came by so often that I was pretending to be tough for long periods of time and at some point I realized I was actually feeling a little better. I was just about to touch on the "what did I like least category" as that is the only somewhat negative experience I had, but as I think about it I'm sure it is my fault anyway. Since my surgery and 120 pound weight loss, I began seeing things in my life, the ways I did things, opinions, likes and dislikes, etc.. in a different way and I began analyzing every thought and feeling. I was going to suggest emotional and pychiatric type information should be part of aftercare, but as I never showed up for any aftercare appointments I don't have any idea what goes on in aftercare. My self-interpretation of why I didn't do follow up appointments can be found on the profile page. As far as surgical abilities, Dr. Rose and Dr. Howard were great, although Dr. Rose said the sutures on her side were prettier than Dr. Howards "boy sewing". I had always thought I reacted better to and prefered a no nonsence, spell out the facts to me kind of attitude over a mushy pampering kind, and if I had to choose one or the other I'd go with surgical completence over bedside manners, BUT, it sure was wonderful to have both. I couldn't ask for anything better than the combination I was lucky enough to find in Dr. Rose and Dr. Howard. My surgery was 2 1/2 years and 122 pounds ago and I am ashamed of myself for not going back yet and for not saying thank you. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. More self interpretaion on profile....

Very caring& understanding along with professional. So far my impression has not changed. Her staff are friendly, helpfull, and very professional. They make you feel at ease.I have'nt found anything about her that I do'nt like. They place a great deal of emphsis on after care & carefully explained that they are there to help. Her policy is all follow up appointments (forever) are free. She carefully outlined all benefits and risk from the very start.
