Very knowledgable, confident and reassuring.

I had some worries at the beginning and the more I met with him and his staff, the more the worries disappeared.

He has an EXCELLENT office staff. I sometimes feel that I appreciated them more than him. LOL! They are great at emotional support.

He is one of the leading laporoscopic surgeons in the country.

I would rate Dr. Duncan and his staff as an absolutely amazing group of people!

I prefered his surgical competence to his bedside manner. I saw him for about 5 minutes total post-op. I am reasonably sure he did not due my surgery but that it was done by another in his practice. Either way, an excellent job was done. Just wish I could have a little more reassurance after the surgery as I was really sick and stressed.

I have only seen Dr. Duncan at the seminar but he was knowledgable and straight forward but always had a sense of humor wich made listening to him interesting. The office staff was very professional and seemed to have a routine in their processing of "herding" us back and speaking to us in groups. That's okay though. I was instructed on key factors of pre and post surgery facts. Dr. Fields was extremely polite and very easy to talk to. She did my "one on one" and I was satisfied. Peachtree Bariatrics rocks! I have nothing negative to say other than I dislike their location. I hate to drive in Atlanta!

I first saw Dr. Duncan at an information seminar. I was impressed with his scientific approach to the surgery; he took the time to explain the science behind why the surgery works and why certain side effects happen. The seminar was very informative. Since that initial seminar, with about 100 other people, I have been involved with Dr. Duncan's office on several other occasions. Some of these appointments are done in a small group setting and some are one-on-one appointments. I have not talked one-on-one with Dr. Duncan but have seen other doctors and physician assistants in his office. Everyone in the office has been extremely helpful, and several members of the office staff are former patients; so the experience is there. It is good to know that the people handling your case have been through the same things you are going through and can offer good advice. Dr. Duncan streeses aftercare. A good deal of even the inital seminar is spent discussing the aftereffects of the surgery and the importnace of follow-up care. Dr. Duncan demands his patiens follow a strict pre-op program including the required nutrition and exercise counseling as well as a strict aftercare program. The risks of surgery are explained over and over again. I especially appreciated the surgery consent form from his office. This 15-20 page document is divided into sections that the patient must read, inital and then summarize in his/her own words before surgery. There is also a littel true/false quiz at the last pre-op apponitment to be sure that the patient has all of the information.

Dr. Duncan impressed me the very first time I met him. I love his wit, his honesty, and his personality in general. I won't say that his office is perfect by any means, but they are more organized than most. The thing that happened to me the most was getting tolded different things from different staff members. During one of our pre-op visits, some of us had concerns and had felt like we were part of an assembly line. This is a life changing surgery and I did not want it taken lightly no matter how many other people were having it done. Anyway me and one other patient heard a staff member ask if they were going to get to leave early on this particular friday and Dr. Duncan Said "NO" "We are having a staff meeting today." So I felt that our issues were not ignored but addressed so that the next group of patients won't feel the same way. My Surgery was October 4th and after surgery. Dr. Duncan and his team came by to see me and Dr. Duncan just held my hand and my husband and I were able to ask all the questions we wanted. I beleive that Dr. Duncan IS the best in his profession at this time.
