My first impression was compentent caring physican ..beyond the 1st meeting I havent had much contact with him .Dealing mainly with office staff many of whom have had the surgery .

They always say first impression are lasting impressions. I can say Dr. Titus Duncan is a wonderful, informative, kindest, doctor I have ever met. His office staff is also very nice.

In my initial Consult Dr. Duncan popped into the room we were in and was so very easy to talk to. My other impressions were from TV. He is very well spoken and seems to really be interested in whatever subject he is talking about. My pre op visit he talked to us as a group and is very up front about complications of the surgery. Also gave us lots of time to ask many many questions. However I was very dissapointed that I didn't get to meet him one on one.
*UPDATE* My 3 month follow up visit was a group session and I did not see a Dr one on one. Peachtree Surgical still charges for an office visit for this. I was told I didn't need a referral so am being charged out of pocket for this visit.

My first impression of Dr. Duncan was that he has an excellent bedside manner. He is very concerned about his patients (future patients also). He takes his job very seriously and he doesn't beat around the bush. His office staff are a group of the freindliest people I have ever met. They do their best to be as helpful as possible and some of the staff have had the surgery so they know first-hand what you are going through and how you feel. He is one of the few doctors who keep track of you for 5 years out. He wants you in for check-ups 2 weeks out, 1 month, 3 months and 6 months out. He wants you to keep them informed of how things are going. At my pre-op appointment, Dr Duncan spoke with us and informed us of all the complications and risk of surgery. His goal at this point is to either talk you out of surgery (by scaring you to death) of confirm that this is really what you want to do.

My first impression of Dr. Duncan was this a very knowledgeable and gifted man(not bad on the eyes either)(lol). I had seen him on T.V before I saw him in person and I was very impressed with him then, as I was when I finaly meet him. He is a very staight forward person. He and his staff makes sure your well informed about the whole process. You can call the office at anytime a ask questions. If one person doesn't know they will find the answer for you or direct you to the person who has the answer. Even after surgery. I have and will continue to recommend Dr. Duncan to anyone.

My first impression of Dr Duncan was he was funny in his own sweet way,his staff was great. Dr Duncan is firm and care about his pts and he wants you to be serious about this surgery. The Dr's emphasizes wt training and support group meetings. Dr Duncan gives you wonderful information and his staff of the risks of surgery. The scales don't go high enough to rate Dr Duncan. After surgery Dr Duncan visited me, I can remember, he touched me on the leg and told me every thing went fine and at the same time with his smile he stated,(are you going to be good)I smiled and said yes I am. On my 2 week appointment I saw Dr Duncan and he gave me a big hug and told me to have a good Christmas and he told me that I looked good. That made me fill good when my preop Dr and Dr Duncan told me they were happy I was comming along pretty good. It is so important to be happy with your Dr.

Met with Dr. Robinson first and he seemed fine, however, I want to have surgery by laparoscopically and he performs it open. Dr. Duncan does lap and states his practice has done 1200 surgeries now with 3 deaths. He seems very knowlegable about nutrition and what you should eat after surgery. He is very well known and respected in the Atlanta area. It takes a longer time to get to see him than other Dr's, because of his popularity. I feel very comfortable with Dr Duncan.
