I first met Dr. Duncan at a group consultation. My first impression of him was that he is a delight and, a real trooper. He is bright, upbeat, extremely knowledgeable and forthcoming. Not only did he present himself well, but also he has a way of making everyone feel that there is hope. Dr. Duncan epitomizes professionalism and realism while sustaining hope. He comes highly recommended and is one of the best in our state.

Dr. Duncan is all about helping you, if you are willing to help yourself. Case and point; he requires his patients to loose 20 lbs. prior to having WLS in an effort to lower your BMI, which will help the patient. He also recommends a pre-op regimen of vitamin and mineral use, to prepare the body for surgery, which will aid in recovering post op.

Dr. Duncan's staff was kind and compassionate. Two of whom I meet had gastric bypass and were more than happy to assist and answer any questions I had.

I'm unable to rate Dr. Duncan at this time, because it is very early in my care.
I will update as a progress in this journey.

I had never met Dr. Duncan before my surgery. Dr. Johnson was the one who visited me in the hospital. He was the one who completed my surgery. I finally met Dr. Duncan when I attended my one month post op visit. He was very nice.

My first impression of Dr. Duncan was really cool. He was amusing and knowledgeable. Dr. Johnson did my pre-op and Dr. Hobson did my surgery and Dr. Norman checked on me afterwards. I am missing the woman.. but I don't remember her name but she was the only one that smiled. I didn't see Duncan after the seminar anymore.

Now.. the staff.. with the exception of the Jennifers.. I was unhappy. Barbara told me to show up at 6am...when my surgery wasn't until 930a...Go figure.

he seems to be a very good doctor who knows his job.

I thought he was very professional and very knowledgeable about his profession.Potential patients should know that he is a busy man and in due time and by following his advice you should have no problem having this surgery. Dr.Duncan pushes aftercare because this is what is going to make life better for you, lets remember this surgery is only a tool.

Dr. Duncan makes it very clear what you are doing, what you should expect from by pass surgery, the dangers, and your responsiblities to make this work for you.

He apparently the head of a group of surgeons working under him, they work like a well oil team. They each are prepare and ready. I know it's like a production line but the results are each does an excellent job and I have had no problems from the by pass. I did have problems with my gall bladder and the same surgeon, Dr. Johnson, went back in and removed it nine days later.

You don't know who is doing your surgery till afterward. This made me very uncomfortable because I would feel a great deal less panic if I could see my surgeon eye to eye before he cuts me.

I saw Dr. Duncan the next morning and he personally checks how you are doing.

I had already known of Dr. Duncan before I went to him. He was very courteous to me and my family at the hospital. He had a great bedside manner. I would recommend Dr. Duncan to anyone. His office staff has been wonderful to me.

I transferred to Dr. Duncan after my previous surgeon cancelled all his bariatric cases the day before my surgery!!! I attended his seminar and I thought he was very nice, humorous, and handsome. He is also very knowledgeable and experienced with this surgery. He has performed more than 1300 Lap Rnys with 3 deaths. I think he is a great doctor thus far and his staff appears to be just as wonderful.
