Peachtree Surgical and Bariatrics Bariatric Center
His entire staff was very professional and you could tell this surgery was their main focus. The hospital staff raved about him and mentioned several times that I would do fine because I was his patient. It seemed as though every measure was taken to avoid complications and his actions were well thought out to prevent any problems.
Since I am not even a week out from surgery I cannot talk about aftercare yet.
Never really met him. Through reserch decided he was most knowlegable about surgery. Never changed my opinion. Office staff very busy, but helpful if you could get them on the phone. Entire process had too much of a 'cattle call' feel. Don't expect any warm fuzzies from him. Don't know much about after care at this point. The entire staff repeatedly warned of every risk involved. I think I had a good surgeon, not a friend. Surgically competent, bedside manner non exsistent.
I did not meet my doctor on my first consultation. But my frist conslultation was so informative I really did not care. I met one of his interns who he trained to do the surgery He was very intelligent and he was very skilled in bariatric surgery. I liked him alot. The staff was excellent when I met everyone I knew I was making the right decision. I did not really get to know Dr. Duncan and that was what i would have changed I would have like to get to see him more often at cosultations but I did get to meet people who had the surgery and that was really important to me .Dr. Duncan has changed tremendoulsy about meeting patients. Although I do understand that he performs this surgery on thousands of people a year. When I had my first consultaion there where 5 people there. A very small group and it was very intimate. It was held in his conference room. I went with a friend for there first consultaion there were 300 people there I couldnt beileve it. When you come from your second meeting You know everything about rny lap. If you dont know you were not listening. The aftercare was excellent. I would refer Dr.. Duncan to everyone I know He is actually the best surgeon in Georgia. These are my experiences and my experiences alone everyone is differant and unique in there own way so i wish you much success in your search of wls
I first saw Dr. Duncan at a seminar in april. I was very impressed with his professionalism and his knowledge. He was also very down to earth and funny. After the seminar I felt very comfortable in setting an appointment to see him. His staff was supperb and friendly. They answered all my questions without hesitation. I am VERY excited about my surgery and look forward to being a part of this internet support group.
Dr.Duncan and his staff was great. The only thing I had a issue with is the lack of information as what post op patients can eat or should I say not eat, and when to work out.
My first impression of Dr Duncan was just as what I always heard--he is brilliant, he is hillarious and he is very good looking!! His staff is very knowledgable about the surgery and they are nothing short of supportive! Thus far I have no complaints and I eagerly anticipate going through with this.
My first impression of Dr. Duncan came from the initial seminar. He was very knowledgeable, professional, humorous and genuine. So far, that has been the only opportunity to meet him. I am at the beginning stages of this process. His office has been courteous and helpful. Dr. Duncan strongly advocates and emphasizes aftercare and weight loss before surgery. He emphasizes HEALTH and I LOVE THAT. Not only does he advocate it, but he has a very strong support system in place. He addresses the risks of surgery honestly and openly. My only concern is that I would like for him to personally do my surgery however, with the volume of patients that he has that isn't realistic. He is an excellent trainer and I am confident that all of the practicing physicians in his office are quite competent and capable. I would say that surgical competence is better but surgical competence and excellent bedside manner is BEST. I would rate Dr. Duncan and his Bariatric Program at this time before surgery at 90% which is excellent. My hopes are that after surgery and well into post op care that I can say the same.
I liked Dr. Duncan right off. He pulled no punches about the details of the surgery. He was straight forward and to the point. The staff at Dr. Duncan's office was wonderful, I know that I probably almost ran those people in that office crazy, but they were very patient with me.
If you are considering the surgery then you need to know that Dr. Duncan is very serious about the welfare of his patients. You will need to follow his instructions or he will not do the surgery . Dr. Duncan and his staff are provide easy detailed instructions for after care.
Dr. Duncan makes his potential patients aware of the risks long before your first visit, and throughout the entire process.
On a scale of 1-10 I give him a 200!!!!!
Dr. Duncan is great, along with Dr. Norman (my buddy) and Dr. Johnson, in my opinion are the best surgeons in Georgia .
