Pacific Bariatric Surgical Medical Group, Inc. Bariatric Center
Very personable, very business like, very professional. Took time to answer all of my and my wifes questions. Made us feel very secure. I was very confident in his skills. Office staff was friendly. Office is outfitted for oversized patients. Very strong on after care. I would give him a 10 out of 10.
Dr Rumsey is a very caring, personable physician! I was impressed by the fact that he made me feel at ease, took the time to thoroughly explain the procedure, and then speak to me about his concerns regarding my case in paticular. Since I had a lower BMI since losing the weight in my Kaiser Bariatric Options classes, he was concerned that the risks might outweigh the benifits. He wants to re-evaluate me in a few months to see how I am doing. Unfortunately, I have gained some weight back since the initial consultation. I will be seeing Dr. Rumsey again in a few weeks, to see if I will have the surgery or not. Either way, I know that he has my best interest at heart, and I trust him completely!
From the first I felt comfortable with Dr. Zorn, actually, all of the Doctors at Scripp Mercy in San Diego are fantastic. The office staff and medical personnel are also fantastic, caring and understanding. I have absolutely nothing negative about my experience with the entire staff at Scripps, they were all amazing, and for a first time surgery this was vital to my mental health and recovery. The pre-op as well as post-op information and care is very precise, appointments one month out, then two then six, etc. Dr. Zorn and Kaiser both went over in great detail the pro's and con's of the surgery, Kaiser even requires a six month course in order to prepare for the surgery. I don't think I could have done as well if I hadn't taken the classes. I would rate Dr. Zorn, staff, Scripps Mercy and Kaiser an absolute 10 for surgical competence and bedside manner as well as compassion and knowledge. This is not to say everything was all roses, I did experience nausea and vomiting for a couple days after surgery (everyone at Scripps was great about this and taking care of me) and I did have some pain and I still experience days of extreme sadness, which I have no explanation for. Most of all and most important, I have no regrets and would do it all over again. I only wish I could have been in the right place about 10 years ago so I could have more time as a \"thin\" and very healthy woman. :-)
Very caring, open about the procedure. After 2nd postop visit, remains caring and suportive. All office staff are nice, very accomodating. Nothing in least I like about him. He won't make you stay in San Diego for the entire week post op, just a couple of days. Very much expects after care to be done, I see him and my regular PCP on regular basis. Yes, a very structered after-care program. 10/10. Both bedside manner and surgical expertise is great. Sorry, I have nothing negative to say, I'm a nurse so I'm realistic about how surgeons are. I was actually surprised at the caring attitude he has, most surgeons don't. If your site wants me to say something bad about him, tough, I have nothing negative to say.
I can't say enough good things about Dr. Zorn and the excellent job he preformed. I was so frightened about going through with the surgery the first time, I backed out the morning of the surgery. He only had supportive things to say to me. One year later I had him perform the surgery with outstanding success.
I met my surgeon last month and I am glad to say Dr. Zorn is really kind. He made me feel very comfortable. I have only met with him one time. His office staff are very efficient and kind as well. The made sure that all my paperwork was competed and submitted in a timely manner. rnrnBoth Dr. Zorn's beside manner and surgical competence are excellent.
