Northside Hospital of Atlanta Bariatric Center
My first impression of Dr. Williams was, "Wow! He's a lot smaller/shorter than I thought he would be." LOL. He was very relaxed and made me feel quite comfortable. Dr. Williams struck me right away as being professional, knowledgeable, caring, and completely up-front.
The office staff at Videoscopic Institute of Atlanta is wonderful. They've always been friendly, personable, and helpful.
I think the thing I least like is that I only met the surgeon once before I had surgery. Of course, I'm sure I could've met with him before I began the whole process if I had decided that's what I wanted.
Aftercare is greatly emphasized through this surgeon. They give an instruction binder with everything you need to know, and you meet with the nurse at your pre-op appointment to ask any questions you might have.
All risks of surgery were addressed thoroughly (from what I can recall).
I would rate Dr. Williams high on surgical competence and bedside manner. Overall, he gets a rating of EXCELLENT from me.
I met with Dr. Hart on December 18, 2003. His office staff was extremely friendly and fun. They always had a smile on their faces, and they were willing to answer all of my questions. Dr. Hart did an excellent job himself. My visit consisted of a presentation, consultation, and blood work. The presentation was very informative. It described his educational background, experience, the various proceedures, after-care, and health risks (including statistics). He presented the presentation personally, and answered any questions that arose during it. The initial consulatation took about 2.5-3 hours, but was well worth it. During this consultation, he also tells you all of his requirments before a surgery date can be set. He needs a letter from your PCP, a list of diets and programs tried throughout your life, a list of health problems related to your obesity, and a psychological evalution. Dr. Hart also requires you to purchase and read a book, The Complete Guide to Obesity Surgery by Brian Woodward. This book contains all of the information you could ever want to know about the surgery and proceedures, and Dr. Hart usues the after-care instructions as his own. At consultation time, you also meet Amanda Korey, the bariatric coordinator, who handles the insurance aspect of the surgery. If you have any insurance questions, she is your girl. All in all, I had a wonderful experience. The only thing I could ask is if his office could be more conveniently located! The address is actually Suwannee, GA (Next to Norcross).
I felt that he was very informative and straight to the point and he answered all the questions that I had he suggested I read a book that told my all the information about surgery. His staff was very nice even if I couldn't speack with him lisa went out of her way to help me. They also kept me informed on all the insurance stuff so that I wasn't waiting in limbo Also alot of his patients help me with all the steps so I new how long it would take to get appointments and also what to do next. I feel like it all went so smooth for me getting approved that It felt almost to easy. I love Dr. Hart not for only changing my life but for caring so much we went threw a scary experience and he really showed me he cares deeply for his patients and I beleive in him so much. I can't say enough about him, he has made this experience so great for me.
I think that Dr. hart and his staff are wonderful. When I initially called to make an appointment I was already approved but not happy with the location of the hospital (in mississippi)so I called them and within a couple of weeks I had my 1ST appointment and then my surgery was scheduled for the very next month!Dr. Hart was very detailed in his consultation with me and very attentive both before and after the surgery.I would recommend anyone that hasn't dound a surgeon, to give him a call.
Dr. Williams appears to be a very quiet man.. but he's very sincere and knows what he is doing. He made sure that i was comfortable and aware of the things and feelings to come. I was talking to one of the nurses during one of my walks at 1 am and he had called to check on his patients. I thought that was definitely a sign of dedication and i couldn't have asked for a better surgeon. I would recommend him to anyone. He's definitely a 10!!
DR. DALY IS THE BOMB DIGGITY, HES A CUTIE AND HES WONDERFULLY NICE.
I STILL THINK HES GREAT
HIS OFFICE STAFF IS AWESOME
HES RIGHT ON TOP OF EVERYTHING AND HES PRECISE TO THE POINT AND YOUR DONE
HE GRIPES AT YOU BUT WHAT CAN I EXPECT HES DOING HIS JOB
FUTURE PATIENTS SHOULD KNOW THAT DR DALY IS EXCELLENT
HE MAKES YOU SIGN A CONTRACT AND AFTER CARE IS NUMBER ONE, BUT I RELOCATED SO I HAVEN'T HAD AFTER CARE AND HES PROBABLY READY TO RING MY NECK.
YES THE AFTERCARE IS STRUCTURED
HE COVERED ALL THE RISKS OF SURGERY THOROUGHLY
HES A 10 1/2 IN MY BOOK
SURGICAL COMPETENCE IS BETTER BUT HES VERY BUSY SO HE DOES HIS BUSINESS AND GOES TO THE NEXT ONE, BUT I NEVER FELT LIKE HE DIDNT ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS
THE ONLY THING NEGATIVE I HAVE TO SAY IS I THOUGHT MY SURGERY WAS PAID IN FULL UP FRONT AND I KEEP GETTING BILLS AND IT IS UPSETTING--NOT THAT IT ISNT WORTH EVERY PENNY BUT WE ARE IN A DIFFICULT SITUATION NOW AND ITS HARD.
When I called and spoke with Dr. Hart's staff Amanda I wasn't able to get a appt. until about a month later, I was a little bummed, but she said that I could get a head start and get my psych eval completed and schedule my first nutritionist appt. This actually worked out for the best because then I was ahead of the game!
However, once I had my first appt. Dr. Hart and Amanda were PHENOMENAL!!!
Because I was ahead of the game I only had to have that visit and the one before surgery (pending approval).
Once I completed the testing Amanda submitted everything and I was half denied, she called and fixed EVERYTHING. She is an angel.
Dr. Hart is so wonderful. He is so sweet and is truly in this profession because "he can see how his work has impacted people's lives". He is very open to questions and very knowledgable. I would recommend him to everyone as he is an amazing man.
These were just my personal impressions of my own personal experience and that I am making no statements about what other people may experience.
Dr Williams is great. He made a wonderful first impression. He's compassionate and caring. He's passionate about helping people help themselves.
The office staf is great. Several of them have had surgery.
I found nothing to dislike about my doctor or his staff.
They have a very structured after care program.
Dr Williams is very careful to stress the risks of ANY surgery.
I couldn't have asked for a better doctor. He is completely competent and has a great bedside manner.
