I first saw Dr Richard at an informational meeting in Gainesville on June 3rd, 2006. While I was totally impressed with both Dr. Proctor and Dr Richard, I knew Dr Richard would be my surgeon of choice as soon as he began to speak. Something about his delivery was completely calming. His demeanor and his besdide manner is 2nd to none. I feel that I have received the best possible care from him and his practice. I especially appreciate the respect they have for my time. I've found the wait time in his office is very minimal.

I learned about Dr. Williams via the internet. rnHis office staff was wonderful and so very kind. I watched a video prior to seeing Dr. Williams. He explained the RNY with its risks/benefits. He operated on me on 11/09/06 and I have not had any complications. He was very professional and personable. Since I live several hours from Atlanta, he encouraged me to join this forum as part of my aftercare program.

We I went the first seminar and listened to both Dr. Richards and Dr. Procter I felt so comfortable with them. They seemed so caring and so sincere. When I contacted the group, they set me up an appointment with Dr. Richards. When I met him personally, I still felt so comfortable. He allowed me all the time I needed to ask questions, and no question was a stupid one. He is great.

Dr and his staff have this thing down..very smooth from pre-op to post-op, virtually no pain..amazing! I felt very confident in Dr Richard and his staff..at 4 1/2 weeks out, my scars are almost non existent! The hospital is set up very nicely and I really enjoyed my rest while at the hospital.

Dr. Hart is wonderful. When I first met him he seemed alittle quiet and shy but very knowledgable about his field of work. He always has a smile on his face. His staff is the best around especially Mildred and Rachel. I would recommend him to anyone. He really was great.

I consider myself very lucky that I found such a competent, professional and warm surgeon and staff to work with. Every one of my needs was attended to from the beginning ( I am a single Mom of 2, I live 3 1/2 hours away, etc ). My surgeon came to see me every one of the 6 days in the hospital and he really listened to me. He took extra precautions when I had some minor issues ( I had 2 hernias, one very large, repaired and there was some trouble keeping my temp and blood pressure down the first couple days after surgery.) I honestly dont have a single complaint about my experience in regard to my surgeon, Dr Williams or his staff.

Dr. Richard made a positive impression on me from the first time I met him at an information session. He is a brilliant man with a lot of healthy confidence. This impression has only increased - and now I have the utmost confidence in him and his abilities. He is VERY explicit in explaining pre-surgery prep, the procedure for bypass, and the aftercare. He addressed the risks very honestly and I would give him very close to a 10 out of 10. He is competent, courteous, and will gladly answer any questions you have. EXCELLENT!
(BY THE WAY - I thought and thought about any negative experience so as to be balanced, but for the life of me, I cannot think of any.)

Well, switched from Dr. Duncan to Dr. Hart. Smaller practice, a one-on-one appointment with Dr. Hart at my first meeting. He had no qualms at doing the LapBand as opposed to the bypass, said I would be an ideal candidate because I am a lightweight who is a volume eater...We'll see!

I have not met Dr. Williams yet. I finally got my paperwork in and they have contacted my insurance for approval. I'm not approved yet but I have my appointment for TSH Lab work scheduled with my PCP and my clinic date for physical, psych eval, and nutritionst meeting. Thanks for your help Virginia Rock!!

I just wanted to update my review of Dr, Daly, (my original review is at the bottom of this page) !! It has been 9 years since I first met Dr. Daly (at a support group Christmas party) and I am 8 years post op and still maintaining my weight loss all these years later. I was 325 (lost 43 lbs before surgery)/ was 282 the day of my surgery/ I am now 125-130 and have been this for years.

I was lucky enough to be on vacation this July (2011), and my best friend had an appointment with Dr. Daly and I was so happy that I was able to go with her !! I have to say that Dr. Daly is still the greatest surgeon and one of the greatest human beings I know. He has always made me feel like I am part of his family and that if I ever need him, he would be there for me. He asked me how things where going and made me feel so glad I got to see him.

2nd REVIEW STARTS HERE...........

He is worth whatever it takes to have him as a surgeon, not only did he do my Lap RNY he also removed my gallbladder when that needed to be done.

One Monday I was in horrible pain and he could not figure it out, it did not matter how late in the day it was, he stayed until he figured it out, even if that meant surgery (I had an internal hernia, that even radiology could not see), but he would not go home with me in that much pain and not know why. Not that any surgeon wants to have to go back in "just to see" but like he said to me he would rather have a bruised ego than a dead patient any day. He could have admitted me and gone home to see what happened, but he did not, he stayed and found out why I was in so much pain, my small intestine had slipped through a hole in the mesentery, and I could not eat, drink, or even stand up straight. It was the most horrible pain, but he stayed and took care of me, and talked to my husband every step of the way.

I would also like to say that the long waits you have to wait to see him sometimes, bothered me before my surgery, but the morning after my surgery, I was bleeding internally (I have a rare bleeding disorder that was not diagnosed at the time), and he left a waiting room full of patients to take care of me, and for that I and my entire family thank him. I would never wait for my primary care doctor this way but I always wanted someone that would react in a crisis. He could of had whoever was on call take care of it but, no he came running and saved my life.

The rest of this is my original review that I did a long time ago, but I still feel the same way after all these years, one of the hardest parts of moving from GA to AR, was leaving Dr. Daly and his great staff, also all the support of his group and others.

1st REVIEW

What can I say, I wanted the best and I have found him. Dr. Daly is so confident but not arrogant. He lets you know that he cares about you. He tells it like it is, there is not a question that he flinches at when asked. He answers them all!!!rnrnHis staff is wonderful in answering questions (and I believe that a dr.'s staff says a lot about him), no matter how busy they are they take the time to answer your questions and never make you feel like you are wasting their time.rnrn3.5 years later and I still know I picked the right surgeon, he still follows my care even though I live 700 miles away from GA. Tammy faxes over what blood work I need and my pcp here (in AR) takes the blood and faxes the results back and then I get a call telling me what I need to change or I am doing great. He will be my surgeon and friend for life!
