Dr. Glascock is a great surgeon. I am a nurse and my husband has had the surgery a few years ago, so we knew what we were getting into. We had went to several seminars and visited with several surgeons before we chose Dr. Glascock. We knew instantly he was the one. He has a great bedside manner, which is still matter-of-fact, and I can appreciate that being in the medical profession. He tells you upfront what he expects and this surgery is just a tool, the rest will have to come from us the patients as he expects a lifetime committment. I really have faith him and would not have the surgery unless I was 100% sure of my surgeon. I was proud to have Dr. G as my surgeon. The only problem.. if I can point out any.. is that I haven't seen my actual surgeon since 2 weeks prior to my surgery, not even the day he operated on me. His PA, Angie, is great, and if you are doing well, well you usually see her and not him. Not sure how I really feel about this, but I guess I am glad I am doing ok. I would hope if there was a problem he would at least physically see me. I was prepared for this up front tho, I just thought I would see him the day of my surgery, oh well.

The first seminar I went to with Dr.Glascock, I got the impression that he truly cared and was dedicated to his patients. My opinion of him has not changed since that time. I had a very good experience with him while I was in for my surgery. His office staff is very friendly, cooperative, and waste no time helping you out with whatever you need. As of right now, I do not have one bad thing to say about him or his staff.rnDr Glascock is very strict on what he expects from his patients before and after surgery. He was very thorough with his pre-op testing and went over all risks. rnI would rate Dr. Glascock and his staff very high.

I met Dr. Matt Glascock when I attended a seminar in July 2006. My first impression was that he is very professional, confident, sincere and attractive. He was upfront that he expects a lot from his patients. Aftercare is a lifetime process.

'My first impression of Dr. Glascock was that he was pretty hip! I have been told before that most surgeons have major egos

I really liked him. I wish he was involved more as far as follow up visits. His staff is great!! espically Angie and Lynn. I feel very comfortable when I'm there and they answer all my question. It would be nice to talk to him once in awhile though. I am so gratefull for Dr. Glascock helping me to feel happy again. Every thing went so smoothly for me. Thank you!

First Impression? Friendly, Confident.

Change? Really didn't.

Office Staff? Wonderful, helpful and caring

Like Least? Didn't get to see him too much. Would have liked to thank him for giving me the tool to make my life so much better.

Future Patients should know that he is VERY thorough!!!! Good thing.

Emphazie Aftercare? Extremely important part of success of surgery.

Structured Aftercare? Call office with any questions. Visit at 2 mo., 6 mo. 1 year, and I think yearly for awhile. Angi tells me to call if I have ANY questions/concerns.

Address of Risks of Surgery? Honestly and straight to the point. Didn't scare me at all with the possibilities that "could" happen.

Rate him overall? I guess a 10. He did what he said he would do. I am losing weight and staying healthy.

Which is better, surgical competence, bedside manner or are both great? Surgical competence for sure. Bedside manner.... don't really know. I didn't see him at all while in the hospital, so that would not apply.

I enjoyed Dr. Glasscock very much--a warm, straight forward, honest, and demanding guy, who has a program, and if you want to follow it, He and his staff will be there to support you. Explained ALL of the procedures, dangers, and benefits very well. The hospital is devoted to the program, and its staff is warm and caring, and very understanding. I am very satisified with his service, attitude, and program, and would encourage anyone with a problem to contact him or his staff.

Dr. Glasscock is an excellent surgeon. He cares enough about the patients he serves to be extremely thorough prior to surgery. He has surrounded himself with knowedgeable professionals to assist patients with their aftercare. Dr. Glasscock and staff are SUPERB!!!

Dr. Glascock runs a VERY efficient office. Any hold ups that I experienced did not come from his office. They were/are always prompt in returning my calls, and reporting test results to me. Being a nurse, I chose him because of his thorough pre-op testing, and because he performs RNY laporscopicaly. The only complaint I could possibly have with Dr. Glascock is that I didn't meet him until my pre-op visit (4 days before surgery). I saw him twice in the hospital (I had a 10 day stay). Once when he came and told me I had a tiny leak and could not have anything to eat or drink for 7 more days (the leak sealed on its own!) and once more because he was on call that weekend. He has a wonderful PA - Angie who I see for my post-ops. It was a bit unnerving to not feel like I knew my surgeon going into surgery. But he is very thorough and particular. I know now that I was in very good hands. I am very happy with the results (only 6 weeks out) and would recommend him and his staff to anyone. He has great bedside manner, and is very competent surgically. On a scale of 1-10, I would give him a 9 only because I didn't meet him until right before my surgery date.

I knew Dr Glascock was for me when I saw a message on his waiting room wall inviting all his patients to his annual potluck! 'Try to bring the most unusual dish to pass!'

'Bring a picture of the old you' it said at the bottom.

Any doctor who takes this kind of time to keep up on his patients is for me!

The only thing that annoyed me about the office staff is they could not remember to call me at work. They always left me messages at home, and by the time I got home from work, they were closed. It was also long distance for me to call them, so I could not call from work.

Dr. Glascock is very big about health. You MUST walk at least 30 minutes a day, no excuses!

He has a structured aftercare program.

Both his bedside manner and his skills are awesome. I had a small surprise hernia when he got in there and he stitched it up for me.
