Grand Health Partners Bariatric Center
Pleasant at all times.
The day following surgery I felt very logey and just plain bad, I resented his not asking how I felt...but announcing that I was fine...when I didn't feel well at all.
My lack of post operative problems and incredibly fast recovery speak very well to his skills.
I was briefed about what to expect, but since I live across the country, I have no structured aftercare plan. My internal medicine dr is doing followup blood tests.
First impression of Dr Kemmeter was awsome! My first time was at a seminare given by him in my home town. Later I talked with him pre-op. He explained every thing and answered ALL my questions and more. He did not hold anything back regarding the possable complacations.
His office staff and all associates have been very friendly and helped all they could. They have taken care of all my insurance problems for me.
I can't speak of his skills from a personal viewpoint but have read many of his previous patients testamonials and find all of them to share my "first opinion". Because of this I am looking forward to the upcoming surgery.
Both there pre and post-op surgery programs appear to be first class.
I strongly believe, while surgerical competence is extremly important, bedside manner is of almost as much importance to help put the patient at ease. In my case Dr Kemmeter has put me at ease and I am looking forward to his skill as I have read about it.
I am sure there is some thing negative about the surgery, the Dr and the supportive staff but to this point I haven't found it.
Dr. Baker was wonderful. His office and staff was very helpful. They had a very supportive program three years ago when I had the surgery and I'm sure that it has only improved. I have recommended him to several people and know many people that have gone to him for surgery. I wouldn't have gone anywhere else.
My first impression was one that I thought he was very professional. I haven't had a chance to meet with him since the orientation he presented in August. His office staff are very helpful and concerned about your progress. What I liked least was the lack of contact with the doctor. Aftercare is very much emphasized, follow up is mandatory. I appreciate that. It makes me feel safer. The risks of surgery were address not only by the doctor at the orientation but also by every member of the staff from the dietician to the behaviorist. MMPC makes you meet with a whole team of professionals before and after surgery which is also good. I think my overall impression of the practice is very good.
My fist impression of Dr. Baker was that he was very nice. He answered all my questions and was very straight-forward and honest. He is a very capable doctor. I loved everyone at MMPC. They were all kind and supportive and enthusiastic.
He did discuss the risks of surgery but told me I'd be an ideal candidate. He has a very structured aftercare program. I would rate him 10 out of 10.
My first impression of Dr. Foote was that he is a very caring man. He made sure that I knew exactly what I was in for. He took the time and answered all of mine and my husbands questions about the surgery. He never made me feel rushed. The atomosphere at the visits was casual and relaxing. I have never had reason to change my impression of him. His staff is very caring and attentitive to my concerns and needs. I liked him a lot but a lot of exams are deferred to his office internists or PAs so you don't get to see him very much. I had to ask to see him at least once for post-op follow-up because I kept getting scheduled for the PAs and I wanted to see him at least once. (For the record the PAs are awesome, very friendly and very helpful.) His aftercare program is the best! It is very structured. You return for follow-up appointments at 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 6 weeks, 3 months, 6 months, one year and then yearly thereafter. You meet with the dieticians, PA or surgeon, the behaviorist, and an exercise physiologist. The dieticians help with what to add to your diet and when and address concerns regarding tolerance of foods. The behaviorist addresses any concerns you have with the behavior portion. The exercise physiologist sets you up with an exercise program that is fun and easy to stick with and it does get results. They also have surgical support groups every first and third Thursdays. They are there to help you all the way so that you can be successful. It is a very comprehensive program. I would rate Dr. Foote as excellent. Bedside manner and surgical competence was excellent as well. Dr. Foote also works with Dr. Kemmeter and Dr. Baker, who also are very skilled surgeons with great bedside manners.
My first impressions where that he was very precise and knowledgeable about the surgery. I felt at ease talking to him. He explanation of the surgery was easy to understand. It was important to him that I understood the surgery and the risks. He was relaxed and at ease while talking to me. I did not feel rushed. I felt that he has a genuine desire to help alieviate the suffereing that results from obesity.
The office staff is very kind and helpful.
He carefully explained the post-op plan. There would be regularly scheduled visits.
Very professonal, friendly. Only met with him once, but with his staff and support people, seemed to be on top of everything. Will know more as the weeks go on. First impression would be a ten. He explained the risk and benifits and the ammount of effert I would have to put out to make this a long term success. I have had some problems with the paper work getting to where it should, but some of that may be my fault also. I'am schulede for a sleep study on the 22 0f dec.
