After my mother had a very successful experience with Dr. Frantzides, a few years later I knew it was my turn. Having Gastric By-Pass was the best thing I did for myself! Dr. Frantzides and his staff are a wonderful team. As of today 3 months post surgery I have lost 51 pounds, and I feel great. Dr. Frantzides has made me feel comfortable the entire time. I had reached my heaviest weight and realized I could not go on any further. I had back and knee problems, difficulty getting around and could not longer do things anymore. My turning point was when I went to my favorite restaurant, Johnny Rockets, and could not fit in the booth. I went to my internest who recommended Dr. Frantzides because he was the best in the country. I came to the office and considered my options and chose the Lap Band. A week after surgery I feel revitalized, I have energy and am willing to do whatever I need to do to get me to the next level. I have also lost 22 pds. since my surgery date!rn

In the spring of 2008 I decided to research the possibility of bariatric surgery. After exhaustive research I decided upon Dr. Frantzides. My first impression of Dr. Frantzides was his professionalism and politeness yet straight forward at the same time. After reading the informational packet given to me by him and also doing more research I decided to have laproscopic gastric bypass surgery. I am gratefule to the fact that he and his staff have been honest and very helpful. His staff from day one has been extremely friendly but most importantly knowledgeable. They have all been good at answering my millions of questions. It's hard for me to find something that I least like about Dr. Frantzides. As mentioned before he has been up front and honest about surgery, recovery and all of the other aspects involved. I think that future patients should know that they will be dealing with someone who does not sugarcoat things when he's explaning something to you. So if you are going to ask a question, you better be ready for his answer. Dr. Frantzides and his staff do a very good job explaning post surgery care and diet. You are given instructions in writing so it's very hard to forget! I have to say that through out my whole process of researching surgery, preparing for surgery and actually having surgery I was made aware of all of the risks involved. Overall I would have to give Dr. Frantzides and his staff a rating of five stars out of five. Dr. Frantzides has demontstrated to me his knowledge of laproscopic gastric bypass surgery. He also has a bedside manner that put me at ease prior to surgery. I can truly say I have nothing negative to say about my experience with Dr. Frantzides or his staff, but if I had to say one thing I guess it would be at times I had information overload. Even then, I can't say I wasn't informed!

Dr. Frantzides saved my life. I had gastric bypass surgery first in 2005, then a revision by my first doctor in 2007. For 3 years, all I could keep down was crackers, yogurt, milkshakes, pudding, etc. All healthy foods (ie fresh fruits or vegetables) I threw up. I had acid reflux daily and was miserable. After 6 EGDs and a revision in 2007, I decided to get a second opinion and started with a new EGD doctor who referred me to Dr. Frantzides. I had already researched Dr. Frantzides via medical journals so I knew he was an expert and was afraid he would not even take my case. However, he did and after 7 hours of intensive laproscopic surgery, I believe I am now on my way to healing. Dr. Frantzides is a very no-nonsense doctor. He gets straight to the point and makes no statements that he does not thoroughly explain the risks. His office staff is very competant beginning with Janie at the front desk who is always very helpful to his \"fellow\", Dr. Liu who usually talks to you personally if you have a problem.

Dr. Frantzides saved my life! I entered his office petrified, I had had surgery twice before with no success. He was very confident and straight forward. I have had two previous hernia surgeries and both times it has recurred. I had major anxiety over surgical procedures. He told me that he would do his best to preform the surgery laparoscopically. He repaired 7 of my hernias laparoscopically 6 months ago. As a bonus he was able to put in the lap band at the same time. I have had wonderful success losing 58 pounds in 6 months. His office staff is excellent, knowledgeable and always pleasant. I would highly, with no reservations, recommend Dr. Frantzides to everyone in the universe. He saved my life!

First off, I have to start by saying that I was not originally going to go with Dr. Frantzides for the mere fact that i had never heard of him before. But when my original doctor decided to give me the boot because of my insurance, that is when i was lucky enough to find him. And he and his staff were very sensitive to my situation. They took me under their wing you might say! Dr. Frantzides and Dr. Luu both made me feel welcomed immediately. Both are very personable and there to cator to your every question and need! Which was comforting to me because I had so many questions and I was terrified! The entire staff was so warm and did not make me feel as though i was a burden when i was calling ALL THE TIME, even after surgery! It is important to ask questions about such a huge decision and they are aware of that at Dr. Frantzides' office. They also made me very aware of how important after care is and the possible risks if you dont properly tend to your body. You want to make sure you know what you need to be doing to avoid any complications. I myself was always making myself aware do to the fact that i had a one year old. This fact also made me want to find an especially competent doctor, and after doing research i found that Dr. Frantzides and Dr. Luu were the surgeons for me! I have even had other doctors comment to me what good hands i was in with them, and that always is an excellent reasurrance! Surgical competence and bedside manner are both important tools in a healthy recovery, and Dr. Frantzides' office excells in these areas! You will not be sorry putting your life and body in the hands of these two very fine surgeons!!! Dont get me wrong the decision to do this and the actual recovery is very tough and every person and situation is different, but this is my take on my experience.

It has been three months since Dr. Frantzides performed my surgery. To date I have lost 49 lbs and the scale is still moving downward. I feel energetic and happy. More days than not I forget that I even had the surgery (except that my hunger is diminished, and my clothes are loose) as I have not experienced any discomfort from the surgery. My three-month checkup with Dr. Frantzides and Dr. Lu took place today and they are still as attentive and patient as always, taking time to answer questions and asking me questions as well. I know that I can call them at anytime to ask questions, and I have. What a great professional team to have on my side as I go through this major life-changing event. I am forever grateful to have found Dr. Frantzides.
