Bariatrics and Medical Weight Loss North - Community Health Bariatric Center
I've had my initial consult with Dr. Jones and was very impressed by her. She really made me fill at ease with the surgery and answered all our questions. I took my mother and father along (this really helped ease their minds).
Dr. Jones and the Center at St. Vincent's Carmel totally emphasize pre-op and post-op care. I was urged by Dr. Jones as well as several patints in waiting room to attend a support group that week. So far a great and compasionate group. A 10 in my book so far.

Have been very active with my support group and my on-line support group (WLS_Indy on Yahoo groups) many of whom are same members. Very Helpful!!

Dr. RoseMarie Jones....hmmm?
SHE IS AN ANGEL! She has the best bedside manner I have ever encountered. Her surgical competence is unsurpassed. She has given me my life back and I would trust her with any of my healthcare needs.
I LOVE YOU DR. ROSIE!!!
I found Dr. Jones to be friendly, patient and interested when I finally met her. She was very difficult to see as she is in high demand. I was very persistent about being able to speak with her before my surgery and it was difficult getting beyond the office staff. The staff were disorganized due to the huge demand for weight loss surgery. I was very proactive in resolving scheduling mix-ups and getting everything I need. I would suggest that anyone interested in having Dr. Jones do your surgery should keep close track of thier case and write down the names of people who gave them information. When I finally did get to meet with Dr. Jones, she gave me the impression that she would have continued to answer my questions all day if I needed her to. I feel very confident with Dr. Jones doing my surgery. I asked other physicians in the community what they thought of Dr. Jones and received only glowing reports from her peers. According to hospital personnel, she has an extremely low incidence of complications and is well liked by all.
I was very impressed with Dr. Jones' demeanor, explaination of the surgery and my situation.
I found her office staff is very difficult to deal with. They do not get things done in a timely manner (forget to fax neede paperwork to ins., inconsistant with what they so my part is with ins.) Too many times I heard, "It's not my job," "I don't have time to get it done," "I'll try to do that today" while trying to get insurance approval. Also, the staff's interaction with me in front of the doctor was far different that to me on the phone.
Future patients should be very insistent with the staff to the point of being pushy. Find out who does what (by name) and insist on speaking to them.
I am confident that Dr. Jones' surgical skill is worth waiting this long for.
Dr. Jones is adorable. She is a delight. And she is small so her hands are tiny. Smaller incision! ha
It just got better and better. She is wonderful.
They are all so helpful and friendly. I am so encouraged by all of them!
I wish I had had more time to talk. But she answered all my questions.
One visit will let anyone know they are in the right place!
A great deal. She is careful to make sure the patient is informed and needs time to recuperate.
Yes.
Very informative, with great positivity.
Super!
I sure want the surgery to go well. And I want the facts. But bedside manner means a great deal. I think twice before letting someone I did not care for operate on me.
My first impression of Dr. Rosie was FANTASTIC... what a sweet, kind, compassionate lady. My impression only got better with time. :) The staff is busy... kind but busy. I have no least favorite thing. Everything I could possibly say about Dr. Jones is good. She is so caring and like she told me, "I wont let you go!" That is so her... before, during and after surgery. Dr Rosie is very open to any questions or fear and very honest with her patients. She makes sure each patient is doing well and happy with the outcome. I just cant say enough good about her. :) I HIGHLY recommend her to anyone wanting a good surgeon!
Thank you Dr. Rosie for helping me change my life to becoming a new wonderful me!!!
I saw Dr. Jones on Nov. 22 at a meeting with other prospective WLS patients. My individual meeting was with Kami, a physician's assistant. I was unwilling to wait to see the dr, it was the day before thanksgiving and I still had to drive to St. Louis (from INDY) that evening. I did like the way she used 'we' instead of 'you' when she talked about problems with obesity.
I think the office sent out the letter quickly because I received my denial letter by Dec. 21. The office staff has been real flexible in scheduling surgery around my work schedule and conferences. In setting up the pre-op appointments, I gave them my best dates, and they worked me in. 4/4/2001 pre-op testing, 4/9/2001 pre-op physical, 4/12/2001 pre-op class and 4/27/2001 SURGERY!
POSTOP: 5/30/2001 Dr. Jones is great. She was pleased with my postop progress and I was pleased with her skill as a surgeon. She has a great bedside manner, as did Dr. Inman and another woman in their surgical group. Kami, her assistant, treated me very well. Now that I'm out of the hopital (I was in 5 days and 4 nights) I talk to Karen at their office when I have questions or problems. I am very pleased with the doctors, nurses and staff I've been dealing with at the St. Vincent Bariatric Center and JonesInman Associates.
My first impression was that she really cared about how difficult of a decision that this was for people. The office staff is very competent. She is a very saught after doctor and can at times be a little hard to get a hold of. Future patients should expect to be treated with a great amount of encouragement and care. Dr. Jones is a sticler on after care of her patients. Dr. Jones after care program is uite extensive and the dieticians are wonderful. Dr. Jones makes you attend a series of classes of what to expect before after and during your surgery. Dr. Jones was a wonderful surgeon, my inscision is very small and the scarring is minimal. But her bedside manner really showed that for the five minutes she was in your hospital room, you were the most important thing. She always called me by name.
