Bariatrics and Medical Weight Loss North - Community Health Bariatric Center
Dr. Jones is awesome. I liked her from the very first time I met her. Very personable and professional. The office staff is one of the best in the medical practice. All of them are ready and willing to help in any way they can. After care is a big part of their problem and they really try to stress this. I hae nothing negative to say about Dr. Jones and her staff.
My impression of her was a very sharp doctoer who has struggled with a smaller scale of weight problems and therefore understands the battle. she is very caring individual who I feel very confident in her ability and care. Ifeel her office staff is very caring and very freindly. there is nothing I can say bad about dr. jones shes a jewel.
Dr. Jones is probably THE most compassionate surgeon I've ever met. Since I am a nurse where she does surgery, I can see firsthand how caring and concerned she is about each patient, as are the other surgeons in her group (Dr. Margaret Inman and Dr. John Huse).
I picked Dr. Jones from the three (it was tough!) because she is so soft-spoken, but also because she cares about me as both a nurse and a patient. She actually called me at home one day after we had a tough situation with a patient. She thanked me for all of my hard work, for both that day and each day I have cared for her patients. That spoke volumes to me.
The staff at the St. Vincent Bariatric Weight Loss Services are very caring as well. They are so excited when they see patients that are reaching their goals, and help those who are struggling by getting them motivated to "keep on keepin' on".
Aftercare is emphasized, especially since WLS is NOT magic. Following the diet very carefully is very very important to the weight loss process. Also emphasized is excerising, keeping a diet journal, and attending support groups once a month.
The risks of surgery are addressed, and there are several. Keep in mind that these are possible risks of surgery, and that the more obese a patient is, the more there is a potential for complications. That is true for any surgery, not just WLS.
Overall, I would rate Dr. Jones a "10" out of 10, and could not ask for better bedside manner or surgical competence.
