He seems very knowledgable and personable Dr. I look forward to working with him on this.

Dr. Schram made me feel like I was the most important surgery he had on his plate that day. Very caring. The day after surgery he popped his head in for quick minute to say that things went well and held my hand. I wish would have stayed a little longer. His staff was very professional and also had that caring attitude that made me feel good about the whole procedure. He emphasizes aftercare a great deal. He says, the surgery is just another tool in your belt, it's what you do after the surgery that really counts. He told me that as with any major surgery there was a chance of complications even death. Good bedside manner and very competent surgeon. If I had to do it all over again I would make sure Dr. Schram was there.

HE IS AMAZING!!!! he did the Orientation session i was in and i thought it was awesomet that the surgeon did the orientation rather than a nurse or a spokesman . He was very nice and very helpful . i couldnt wait to meet him for my one on one visit which again was great! He new exactly what to say to make me feel very comfortable with the surgery and i could tell he trully cared! I feel so good being under his care! And hes good looking too :)

First impression was very supportive, willing to answer any questions. I have only met him once, so have little else to say at this time.
I have now changed to Dr Foote, because I have chosen to pursue the DS surgery instead. I thought he was genuine, tender, and willing to do everything he could do for you. He answered all my questions, big and small, with the same respect level for both.
He inspires trust.

Well it has been back and forth for several months whether Dr. Foote or Dr. Alverdy would do my surgery but it looks like I am approved for DS surgery with Dr. Foote. My initial visit with him was great. It is so refreshing to find a doctor that understands the struggle we go through being morbidly obese. He seems very caring and understanding and I liked him from the first minute I met him. He is very young but that just insures he is up on all the latest techniques. I do feel I am in great hands. The staff at MMPC is great. Somehow they got BC/BS to approve my surgery even though I could not meet the documentation requirements. Dr. Foote stresses aftercare which I think is very important. Overall I would give him and his staff an A+.

I went to see Dr. Shram for my consultation this morning ( October 4, 2005). He was very nice. He explained about the procedure and told me that he would do an open rny for me. I need to get an ok from a cardiologist and a pulminary function test before I can get a date. Being that I self-pay, getting a date will not take as long. His staff was great. Each person I came into contact with was very friendly. I really liked Dr. Shram and look forward in progressing with the next steps.

I had my consultation with Dr. Jon Schram, in Barix Clinic, Holland, MI, just yesterday. I was impressed with his friendliness and that he took his time talking with everyone and answer questions. The whole experience was wonderful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I felt completely comfortable there from the moment I walked in.

Overall I am very impressed with Dr. Schram and the Barix Clinic. I appreciate the fact that this is all this clinic does; Bariatric surgery. The fact that Dr. Schram has done so many open Roux n Y surgeries, helps me to feel more confident going into this. He explained the proceedure, the aftercare, and any possible complications fully. I honestly didn't have any negative feelings throughout the entire consultation.

I really liked Dr. Foote from the moment I met him. He joked and made me feel really comfortable. My impression of him has not changed.
I did have an appointment to meet with him 4 weeks after surgery, but he was running behind and I never got to see or talk with him.
The staff at MMPC are wonderful. They treat you with respect. That is hard to find when you are over weight.

First Meeting: My very first impression of Dr Foote was "WOW, someday I'll find me a handsome man like him!". Silly I know. He was very polite, laughed at my personality and the fact that the room I was in had hair (fuzz) all over the wall. He explained everything in detail. I asked if he could video tape it for me, and he said no:( That bummed me out. (hahaha) I was also very impressed with his answer to the question "why did you decide on this profession?" His answer was "do you want the short version or the long one?". Of course I opted for the long one. This man will be inside of my body, I felt that I wanted to know WHY he did this. His answer made me want to cry. I truley belive he is NOT in his field for the money, but for the satisfaction of helping others. The staff was VERY nice! I was impressed very much with everyone really. Down to the gal who signed me in! Dr Foote ordered a scope to be done (down my throat, eek!) and they called me a day later to help me set it up.
