Dr. Halmi and his staff are GREAT and very patient!!!! They really worked with me while trying to get my TriCare insurance issues squared-away. I went to my first visit with a list of questions that Dr. Halmi took his time to answer and did not appear to be annoyed or in a rush for me to leave the office which is very important to me. So far, I would recommend anyone in this region who is considering this type of surgery to go and see Dr. Halmi.

Dr. Hamli was very informative, caring and let you know he and his staff are there for you at anytime. The office staff could not be anymore helpful. The entire office is very interested in your after care and are always there to answer any questone. The after care program is tops everyone from the office staff, the RD, to Dr. Halmi are the best! The Dr. was very upfront with the risks of the surgery I have the same feeling of Dr. Halmi that I have recived from everyone that is he is one of the very best at what he does. I put my life in his hands and would do it again if the need would arise.

My first meeting with Dr. Halmi was in Sept. 2003, and my first impression of Dr. Halmi was very good.
I found him to be soft-spoken and a great listener.
After explaining about the sugery, he answered all of my questions
completely. My impression of him has not changed. I thought
and still continue to feel that his office staff are committed
to helping the clients and they go out of their way to help
us reach our goals.

I had quite a few medical problems and all of my concerns
were addressed. My other doctors told me I would be a high
risk and I wasn't surprised when Dr. Halmi told me right from the initial visit
that I would more than likely go to ICU after surgery, if
I had it, which is what happened. After 3 days I was moved
to the surgical ward. No problems developed during my hospital
stay. I am three months post-op and don't regret for a minute
my decision to have this surgery. Any questions I have had
have been answered quickly by the office or his dietician,
Deanna Duvall.

I think Dr. Halmi is a very caring person and would recommend him to
anyone considering weight loss surgery.

My overall rating for Dr. Halmi is Outstanding!

First impression was that of a very confident surgeon. Answered all of my questions and did not rush me through anything.

The dietician, Deanna, was wonderful, and I look forward to working with her during the pre op sessions.

They have a support group, website forums, message boards, etc.

Very competent man who is willing to explain waht will be happening, how it will be done and any problems that might occur. A doctor who actually listens and responds to questions! This is the kind of physician that I wish they all were. He is able to put you at ease and make you comfortable.

I have met with him 2 more times. The first time to discuss pre-op testing and the last time as a final meeting before surgery. In both cases, my opinion has not changed. He genuinely cares about his patients and is willing to listen, answer questions and make sure that you are comfortable with what is about to happen to you.

Halmi was very personable and straightforward, liked him alot. He was always like that, even to the point my mother has chosen him for her doctor. The staff were all very friendly and efficient. I was given info on paper and everything was explained as much as I needed and I was told to call at anytime with questions. Even questions I thought silly, they answered with a calm if maybe humored attitude. A relief that they treat everyone like a thinking caring human being. If there was any negative, Id have to say that sometimes the office visits seemed to run late often but they had these great chairs that fit the backside and hips of us larger folks so it wasnt so bad hehehe.

Dr. Halmi is a tranquil doctor. I found him very personable and eager to help me understand what this journey entails.

His dietician, was my first contact, to go through the basics. Which, I think is a wonderful way of informing patients, without using the doctors' valuable time as well.

I went to my first appointment with a bound folder for him to keep with a list of diets, exercise experience, current medication, allergies, past doctor notes, as well as test results, etc. He was very impressed that some work had been done, not offended that I had already had some of the tests done.

I was told about the mandatory nutrition classes as well as their support group, etc. All of which contributes to a greater success.

I've only had one appointment, so nothing major to state on any negativities. If any arise, I'll update.

By the way, the outer office had LARGE chairs to fit all patients!!!! Not too many offices think about that:)

I can only speak for myself, but my impression has been a very positive one.

First impression of Dr Hami was very good!
He seemed very warm. I had expected him be very routine, having explained surgery thousands of times but he wasn't at all. Everything I've heard about him (17 patients in all) was VERY accurate. Warm, concerned, gentle.
