Dr. Halmi is wonderful, soft spoken doctor, he also did my moms surgery and was wonderful, and very knowlegeable.
The office staff is really helpful!
Dr. Halmi and his staff check you inside and out to make sure that this surgery will be safe for you. I did so many test and I am still going threw test. I was really impressed. That was the only bummer is all the test and taking off work to do this and that, but I understand it is for my own good.
The aftercare they really make sure you have your supplements and you know what to eat and what not to eat.
I rate Dr. Halmi, Deanna (nutritionist) and his staff a 10!!
He explains things very thoroughly and welcomes all questions. He genuinely seems to care about his patients.
Dr. Halmi in Woodbridge was my surgeon. He was wonderful. My first impression was of a very caring, compassionate doctor, with concern for his patients. His office staff was also very pleasant and helpful. Dr. Halmi's bedside manner was great and he answered allof my concerns, both before and after surgery.
MY 1ST IMPRESSION WAS THAT DOC HALMI ,IS A VERY NICE AND CARING PERSON . HE ALSO KNOWS HOW TO MAKE A PATIENT FEEL AT EASE TALKING TO HIM . HIS STAFF IS ALSO VERY NICE ...
if i had to say anything about doctor halmi,it would have to be that he is the very best doctor in the world for this surgery .he is very understanding and caring to his wls patients ... i have to say if you need a doctor ,then halmi is the one to pick no matter where you live ....his is a number 10 in my eyes
I had been looking into the surgery for several years, and heard nothing but good things about Dr. Halmi. I thought his office and waiting area were very comfortable (great chairs!) and I did not wait very long at all (maybe 5 minutes) before I was on the scale and then in his office. He exudes calm and professionalism, and answered all my questions with patience. He did not try to convince me to either have or not have surgery, but encouraged me to make my own decision, only telling me that I would definitely be a candidate for the procedure. He gave me an informative package to read through about the surgical procedure and the aftercare required by his office, and then said that once I had made a decision, to call the office and they would take care of things from there. So far I am very pleased with my choice of surgeons.
My first impression of Dr. Halmi was of quiet confidence. I felt very comfortable asking him questions and was very pleased with his thorough explanation of the process. However, I was REALLY impressed yesterday -- I had an appointment at 11:45 and I-66 was closed due to a terrible car crash. I called his office to find out whether I should reschedule and to my amazement was told to come on in because he would wait. I was 45 minutes late and he was waiting for me in the waiting room even though he had to go to the hospital. He answered my questions (yet again) and with a genuine "you'll be just fine" left for the hospital. In my opinion, he seems like a terrific doctor. Gabbie was great going over the papers and explaining the process. The insurance approval was a breeze!
When I first met Dr. Halmi, I thought he was very quiet. He is very direct, which I like in a doctor, and very compassionate. It's like he can look into my eyes and see my pain and frustration with weight loss. His staff is very efficient and friendly. His receptionist helped me push my primary care for the necessary referrals the same day I first appeared in his office. I would have liked for Dr. Halmi to be a little more talkative in the beginning. I always got the impression that he wants his patients to know up front the risks and that he takes this whole procedure and its process very seriously.
I would like for everyone to know that Dr. Halmi is a very considerate doctor. He actually comes to the support group meetings and follows up with you immediately if you have a concern or question. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate him at this point (pre-surgery) as being a 9. I physically watched this man come to a meeting and whip out his palm pilot to make sure that he rescheduled a patient who had the misfortune of scheduling her labs on the same day as her pre-surgery visit with him. He didn't leave it up to the patient to call the office the next business day. He took the initiative to write her name down in his palm and inform her that he can work around her schedule. I'd say that both his bedside manner and his surgical competence are both great. I look forward to the future with him as my doctor.
My first impression of Dr. Halmi was that he is a very quiet man. He was able to answer all of my questions even though he did not volunteer information, he answered everything I asked. My impression of him has not changed. He is a quiet man, but very nice and knowledgable. His office staff is the best group of people. They are nice and understanding and very helpful and friendly. There was/is nothing that I don't like about him. He stresses after care. If I had to have this surgery again, I would for sure have Dr. Halmi do it. I trust him completly. His bedside manner is great and he showed great concern when I was showing signs of depression in the hospital.
