I felt like I was treated with respect and caring.I even had Nurses come visit that had same surgery .It made me feel soo good.

The new Bariatric unit at Valley Generay Hospital is Wonderful! They are excellent in their care and their ability and the unit itself is built to make overweight people feel comfortable. I couldn't have asked for a better place to recover and have my surgery.

Feel they need to be better prepared for Diabetic patients. Althought they said half of their patients are. I dont feel they handled that part of my care well at all. Many time my hisband and myself had to remind them to check my blood sugars. They definately need to work on that!!

Every person I have dealt with at the hospital from radiology to cardiology has been awesome when they find out that I was doing WLS.

They had plenty of nursing staff available, they were just too busy hanging out at the nurses desk to do little things like change IV bags and stuff like that. One evil nurszilla told me I was being a baby and that I wasn't her only patient. I was annoyed that they'd let the silly little bag become empty and couldn't have my morphine anymore 3 hours after surgery. I'd like to see how she'd handle that.

Valley works closely with the WISH center. The WISH Center establishes all the guidelines. They are an established practice (15+ years) out of Chicago, with centers in Phoenix and now Washington. Very well thought out, very complete, and the people are great!

The Staff and Nurses where compasionate and very kind. The rooms where bright and clean. The equipment was for patients my size and the furniture also. I loved the outdoor garden room close by, and the sitting area outside the rooms.

I was so impressed with the compassion and kindness from the nurses. Everyone was so attentive and aware of bariatric patients needs. They were the best. The equipment was all new and made for obese patients. Overall it was a wonderful experience.
