Sami R. Halela Physician Assistant (PA) PA-C

 Sami Halela, PA-C, is a physician assistant with experience in vascular surgery and other surgical specialties. She is thrilled to be joining the weight loss surgery program at Valley Medical Center and will bring with her a passion for treating obesity and obesity-related chronic health conditions. Sami passionately promotes holistic care for her patients, recognizing that all conditions are impacted by social and psychological factors, in addition to many others. Her compassionate and empathetic nature make her a strong advocate for her patients.  Sami has been working in the greater Seattle area since her graduation from Rocky Mountain University’s physician assistant program in 2018. She is a native Seattleite and has made it her life’s goal to provide medical care to the Pacific Northwest community where she grew up. Sami is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.   Outside of her work, Sami enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, eating good food, and dancing. In college, she was on a competitive hip-hop dance team and feels strongly about the correlation between physical activity and mental health. She also loves dogs and her family has a 2-year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
