My fist impression of Dr.Currie was that he is very caring and compassionate.

I met with Dr. Currie on 3/12/04 and he was very to the point and answered all the questions I had. He didn't rush me to get to other appts. (Like everyone has said, he was running behind schedule, but took all the time that was needed with me). I feel confident in his knowledge and capablities to perform the surgery.

I had my consultation with Dr. Currie. I was very impressed with him. He wasn't in a hurry and answered my large list of questions. I felt very comfortable with him as soon as he walked into the office. He was very warm and explained everything we complete confidence. By his personality and concerned manner, I feel he will have a wonderful bedside manner!!!!!! We will be submitting for insurance approval early next week. Please pray this is a speedy process. Dr. Currie is also having me have some tests done to see how severe my heart murmur is and if there are any other issues we need to be concerned about. I see my PCP on 1-13 who will order the tests for me. I'm anxiously awaiting approval!!!!

Again, I thank God everyday for a wonderful Doctor like Dr. Currie, he's wonderful, personable and gentle.

DR. CURRIE - HAVE I TOLD YOU LATELY HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU :)

I met Dr. Currie during my 3rd visit. I already knew a lot about the surgery before meeting with Dr. Currie but it was nice to go over things with him and confirm what I had already learned. He explained everything in a way that was easy to understand and made me feel at ease about the procedure. He explained all the complications that can occur and how they deal with them. There wasn't anything about Dr. Currie I did not like. He also discussed support groups and encouraged me to get involved. There is a nutritionist you get to see before and I believe after your surgery to help.

My first impression of Dr Currie was that he was nice. Over time I found out he is a very carring gentle man. I thank God I found a great surgeon who has a good repution. His staff has been wounderful answering all my questions and explaining everything in detail.

Dr. Currie is very personable. He attends almost all the support groups. I find that very reassuring. He was very thorough in his explanation of the surgery. He not only answered my questions but was happy to answer my husband's questions as well. I did not feel in the least bit rushed by him.
The office staff is very nice, however sometimes they are overwhelmed. Steve the office manager is very nice and caring and is working hard to improve office/patient relationships. I find that commendable. Most offices don't really care what goes on "up front" I think both Dr. Currie and Dr. DiMarco care very much about their patients.
I do think that the office staff is not as supportive to people who do not do as they are told, or who do not seem to want to work hard at this new way of life. It is a very busy office and I think they just can't afford to take the time with people who don't listen.
I will come back and update after I have my surgery.

I really liked Dr. Currie and all of his staff. The staff was very supportive and helpful right after surgery. I had questions and would call them and they knew what to tell me to help me through the problem. It took a while to get in to see Dr. Currie, but it was worth the wait. I never saw Dr. Currie while I was in the hospital because he left the day after to get married. All of the other doctors I saw were terrific.

I am now post-op. Dr. Currie (and Dr. Siddiqqi (sp?)) visited me daily. They were both very personable during their visits and always explained what was doing on during this phase of my treatment. Overall, I have been extremely pleased with "The Weight Loss Clinic" staff including Dr. Weiger, Dr. Siddiqqi and Dr. Currie.


I have been very pleased with my dealings with Dr. Currie. He is professional, but not "too" professional. He seemed to make sure that I understood everything he was telling me, but also did not treat me like a child. The office staff is extremely helpful, even though they seem so busy at times. I have never felt ashamed to speak with them or ask them a question. I feel that they have a genuine interest in my health and are actually personally concerned with my weight loss. They knew who I was (remembered my name) after my first visit - which is even more incredible given the number of new and current patients. I would certainly recommend "The Weight Loss Clinic" (www.wgtlossclinic.com) to anyone in the Central PA area. I will post again after my sugery on 9/29/03.


I havn't met with anyone from Dr. DiMarco's office yet, but I wanted to note something for anyone thinking about calling for an appointment: I called in January and my appointment is in June. I'm not sure if they are this busy all the time, but in my case there was wait for an appointment. So if you are thinking about calling, don't keep putting it off (like I did). A busy office tells me that Dr. DiMarco is good at what he does and his services are greatly desired in this area.

I met Dr. Currie on Friday Sept 5th,2003. I found him to be an extremely knowledgable surgeon and was willing to answer any questions I had for my upcoming surgery. He also did not rush me and made me feel very comfortable and trustworthy. I know all will go well with my surgery with him as my surgeon. thanks Dr. Currie for being who you are.

Dr. Currie has really been great right from the beginning. He went over all the risks and rewards with me to make sure this surgery was right for me. The aftercare has been great as well Dr. Currie takes his time and never makes you feel rushed. The staff at the weight loss clinic has definately
been a great help. Sometimes I feel like I am a pest but they asure me to call with any questions or concerns.
