My first impression of Dr. Curie was that he seemed very down to earth, He just has a very friendly open demeanor and Not at all stiff or stuffy like some doctors are. During the whole process before getting the surgery my intial opinion of him proved to be true he really is just he appears to be. He has a great personality and was very open to any questions or concerns that i had. He fully explained every possible risk and outcome. Regarding his surgical competence I can not be morre happy with the results. I had my surgery laproscopically and did not have any problems with the surgery 3 years later I can not even find the scars. His bedside manner is equally great and it does'nt hurt that he is super hot!!

My very first impression of Dr. Currie was that he had a beautiful smile and georgous eyes. And he was very friendly. His office staff was always friendly to me and they seemed to be on top of things. Dr. Currie strongly recommends the monthly support group meetings and following through with your office visits as scheduled. I felt that Dr. Currie explained the surgery and the risks in great detail and he was patient with all my questions and fears. I would highly recommend Dr. Currie as a surgeon and I feel that both his surgical competence and bed side manner are great qualities of his.

Dr Currie - - - was excellent. I am 5 days out and i have had no single complications. i had no pain what so ever...only gas pressure...which i magine may be just as bad....lol...but at least i didnt have pain and gas pressure. I honestly feel like he did a great job and i have faith that the new tool he has fashioned for me will work very well. Personality wise i would reate him as good. first time i met him at a support group he was very freindly. he had this sweet smile and listined to everything i had to say patiently. when i met him for my consultation he wasnt that patient. i had TONS of questions typed out and i got the vibe that he was getting irritated. He seems to be a very stright to the point kinda guy...lil cocky. When i saw him right before surgery he was nice and had that sweet smile that melts you...hehe. rnrnAll in all i would say dr currie is excellent in terms of the surgical procedure he knows his stuff...and i was comfortable trusting my life with him. he explained how the procedure worked and all the risks, their practice's complete after care program. I would give him the highest marks for surgical competence. Personality wise i would say its good...may be excellent depending on the day you catch him (however its prob same for most ppl.). Also unfortualtely he was off the weekend of my surgery so i didnt get much time to get to experience his bedside manner. rnrnDr Davidson - - - was awesome! Excellent personality. he has the best bedside manner. Dr currie my actual surgeon was off for the weekend, and he was the on call dr that weekend so he came to check on me several times. he was great. he chated with me, and made lil jokes here and there. i loved him...and ladies he is HOT!!! i have a pic of him ...but he looks even better in person and he smells great too! lol. great eye candy for a healing body. lol it was like emothional theraphy...lol. ok enough about the hottiernrnrnDr DeMarco - - - was good also he stopped by with dr davidson and parshar the first day. i didnt chat with him that much...but the lil small talk we had i think he was nice. im sure i would have liked his personality if i got to spend lil more time with him.rnrnDr Parshar - - - (the surgical resident) was great also. He checked on me ALOT. he was very friendly and careing. lil on the cockey side...but not to the point it becomes ignorant. he was sooo hot! omg...lol. rnrnOther residents - - -there were other residents that came one time with dr davidson. One came one time on his own. they were very nice. cant remember their name cause i didnt see them that much.rnrnDr Wigger - - -He is nice and very knowladgable. i saw him during my initial consultation and my final apt before my surgeryrnrnTheir office staff - - -leave alot to be desired. i am not happy or satisfied with the way they relate to me as a patient. You get put on hold ALOT, issues are usually not resolved on time, they often have attitudes like your bothering them etc... I feel they are understaffed. This being said i would just advise a pre op to be aware and decide what is really important to them. The surgeons and the in house doctor are excellent. However, most ppl reserch only the surgeon but the staff is just as important even if not more beacuse you only see the surgeon 2ice and about few more times after surgery. majority of your dealings are with staff.rn

I love Dr. Currie and the staff at WLC in Harrisburg, PA. They kept things moving for me and got my date quickly. Dr. Currie is soft spoken, takes his time to answer your questions and makes sure you understand what's going on before he leaves you.

Ok, this is the best surgeon ever. He is very open and honest and really cares about you. I was scared to death to have this donea s I have never had to have surgery in mylife. He assured me that he would take care of me from start to finish. And he kept to his promise. About 3 weeks after the surgery I felt sick. I called on a Friday night and he was out of the office. They contacted him at home...he and his wife just had a new baby may I add. And he called me at home and asked me if he wanted him to come to the office for me to be scene. I said no I would be ok. He called me two times more that evening to see how I was and then also two times the next day. WHO DOES THAT?rnrnHe is very professional and will answer every question you have about anything. The whole team at the Weight Loss Clinic is terrifc. Thanks to everyone for changing my life!rnrnDr. Currie...thanks for giving me my life.

So far I have found Dr. Currie to be very straight forward and upbeat. He seems very knowledgeable and confident of what he is doing.

I have nothing bad to say about Dr. Currie or the staff at the Weight Loss Clinic. Every aspect of my pre and post-op journey was handled with care, compassion and absolute professionalism. Being a nurse myself I tend to scrutinize those I entrust with my medical care, and this team has not let me down yet. The only thing I would like to see more of in the aftercare area, would be more structured and monitored nutrition counselling.rn

I was very impressed when I first met Dr. Currie. Very young and handsome! I'm still in the early stages so I am still impressed with him and hope that continues. rnrnThe office staff is very nice and very busy. I think they schedule too many patients for the day because they are always running behind. rnrnI feel Dr. Currie's surgical competence and bedside manner are both great. The Weight Loss Clinic gives you a handout with everything you should expect before and after the surgery. There really aren't many questions unanswered in this handout so you don't need to talk with the doctor much post-op. He saw me after one week and then it will be a 6-week check-up (5 for me since I'm leaving on vacation). All in all, I'm happy with the doctor.rnrnI was a little upset in the hospital because I was waiting to be discharged and had to wait for hours and hours until a surgeon came, only to give his signature for me to go. It wasn't Dr. Currie, it was one of the other surgeons.

I was very impressed with Dr Newlin at the initial meeting because he pulled no punches. He was very honest about the possible complications and what he expects from his patients. He not only told us the nationwide average for complications, he also gave his own statistics. rnI learned at my first office appointment that he is very serious about his work (I have a warped sence of humor that he didn't seem to appreciate but that DID NOT change my confidence in his abilities)rnrnI am now post-op and I can honestly say I made the ~best possible choice~ by putting myself in Dr Newlin's hands. At only 6 days post-op I am on minimal pain meds, felt great and had no complications.
