OK, change of plans. I just found out that Dr. Francis will be assisting but Dr. LePort will be the primary surgeon because of the procedure I am having done. I have never met Dr. LePort but have only heard good things, so we will see. I feel very comfortable knowing that I will have both surgeons and not a PA in there during surgery.
Because I have already had a gastric bypass and wanted to get the lap band put over it, I met with Dr. francis prior to submitting my request to the insurance company. She was awesome and answered all my questions. She was completely honest and upfront with me in regards to the procedure. She even made me feel comfortable when she indicated they have not performed very many of these revisions. I liked the fact that she stressed how the followup is so important. That is something that my first surgery lacked.

First impression was he was highly qualified and had a real knowledge of the surgery. I ended up having my surgery with his partner Dr. Phillip Chin. His staff is great and keep you well informed.
I liked the least about him he's way to busy I never see him only his PA. Don't get me wrong their great but it would be nice to see the one that did you operation once in a while.
after care is very important I missed an appt and the staff was on the phone asking why?? (I just forgot).
I would rate the Dr. a 9 and staff a 10 I see more of them!

At first I thought Dr Leport was a very short, straight to the point kind of person. Now I definately know that is the kind of person he is. But He did a great job on me. And I guess that's what counts. His team is great they are not snobby, they are down to earth people like you or I. Everytime I go to one of my follow ups, they take the time to talk to me and ask how I'm doing. Dr. Leport and his team truly care about their patients. One of the things I liked about Dr. Leport is that he does not sugar coat things. He tells it to you like it is. Hate it or love it. I admire that in a person. When I asked questions about the surgery he was very thourough and made sure I understood the consequences. At the hospital he came in every morning to check up on me. I appreciated that. Over all I am extremely happy I chose him.

He seemed to have strict standards at first.

He gave me the surgery even when he had doubts about my commitment.

Very helpful.

His first impression of me.

Be honest about your commitment to wieght loss, because if your not he will know.

Very Much!

Yes, He does.

He sat down with me and explained everything.

A very great surgeon, and human being.

Both his surgical competence, and his bedside manner were great.

I thought it was Ok.... some of the nurses were amazing there was one in particular that was just a scatter-brain... and she made me feel so rushed in anything that she assisted me with. My favorite nurse was Karen an Asain woman who was just so caring.. I felt as if she truly cared and that she was caring for me like one of her own children. She was very kind and took her time to explain things to me. The two men who drew my blood were also very kind and friendly.. one even stopped back in after he got the results and shared them with me,... something that he didn't have to do. Overall this hospital was pretty good..just glad I didn't have to stay longer!!!

Very understanding and patient. Office staff is helpful. It is difficult to get an appt. with him, but there are other surgeons within the same office. There is a wonderful aftercare program with lots of support. Dr. Leport has a very positive attitude regarding his patients and is very reassuring. He is very competent and has a wonderful bedside manner. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Great

The nursing staff was great. They were very responsive to my needs. The hospital was very noisy but I haven't been in one that wasn't.

Dr leport's office is great. Dr. Leport seemed to be busy and distracted the first time I met him, probably because he is busy, but that was not important to me. He is an excellent surgeon and that is what matters to me.
