The bed was extremely uncomfortable--I have a pinched nerve in my back from it which is causing numbess and tingling in my left leg. About 50% of the nurses were nice. There was one who just needs to be fired. There were some staff members who had nothing to do with me but saw me up and around and kindly offered help or gave words of praise...very nice. Pretty clean, pretty quiet (minus the nursery music anytime a baby was born), always allowed me to have a room full of visitors, decent with pain medication. I'd stay in the hospital again...would just avoid the nurse from hell and ask for a new bed!

Since I am pre-op I have only met Dr. Le Port once. He dropped by the support group to answer any concerns the group might have. He was professional yet projected a caring, warm attitude. He was willing to answer any and all questions to the fullest and stayed until all questions were exhausted. My husband and I both felt comfortable and I have selected Dr. Le Port as my surgeon.rnrnHis office staff reflects the attitude of Dr. Le Port. They are efficient and personable.

At first, I was a little apprehensive in meeting Dr. LePort becasue I really wanted to have the surgery near home. Fountain Valley is a distnace away and I was not familiar with the surgeon nor the hospital. After meeting, I felt very much at ease and the only fear I had was the fear of surgery. He's a great guy and I have the utmost respect for him. His office staff has been very helpful. Although I have had to have a few appointments change due to their mishaps. Otherwise, they all have been helpful. Especially Tammy. She's a sweetheart! For future patients, I do recommend Dr. LePort. As for the hospital, I had such a great experience with the hospital and the staff. I could not have asked for a better group of individuals to help me with this new chapter in my life.

Dr. LePort and his staff are outstanding. Dr. LePort is a very busy man, but it's obvious he cares deeply about his patients. He has the hospital personnel at Orange Coast Memorial Hospital well trained in caring for bariatric patients and they were wonderful with me. There are support group meetings 3 X/week in three different locations, there is also a new monthly meeting opening up. There are nutrition classes set up as well. I was very impressed that when I called after hours with a question, I was given the home number of the doctor on call. As far as I know, Dr. LePort does not go on call, and like I said, he is very busy so unless I have some really serious problem I will go to his physician's assistant with my questions. His surgical competence is fantastic. Dr. LePort is very professional and businesslike, not exactly a "teddy bear". I wasn't looking for warm and fuzzy feelings, though, I wanted a surgeon who would know what to do in case of emergency and I had full confidence in Dr. LePort.

I have only recently met him and then only for about 15 minutes. He seems very quiet and he was very pleasant for the time he spent with me.

The staff seems confused and I always come away with a sense of chaos when I leave a class or appointment. It's very unorganized.

However, I picked this surgeon because after my research he came out on top in my area (Orange County , CA).

He was very nice.

As I became aquainted with the doctor and staff I found them to be very knowledgable and helpful.

He's very kind and polite and willing to help and answer any questions.
I have no complaints about Dr. Ali or his staff.
He says that aftercare is very important. Things can still go wrong months after surgery.
This doctor has a good aftercare program.

He was very straight forward about the risks and seriousness of the surgery.
Overall he's a great doctor. He's very cautious.
Both competence and bedside manner are great. Dr. Ali and his staff were very helpful and curtious. They listened to my problems and circumstances and got me in
very fast and made it so I could do everything all within a week so I only had to make one trip to Fountain Valley.
(not counting aftercare)
